Verbz: Cards Dealt

As the anticipation grows for the new Verbz album, the Croydon MC has gifted us another video from the project. Cards Dealt is produced by Arthurr and the video was made by Morriarchi and Norm Oddity. The Pathways LP is due for release shortly on Group Bracil.

Old Paradice ft. Blu: What Ifs?

More blissed out vibes emanating from Old Paradice, as they return with their latest single, Whats Ifs? This time round Confucius MC and Morriarchi join forces with accomplished LA rap entity, Blu, who drops in perfectly as the Swarvy remix kicks in. The single is lifted from The Last Resort EP, which is available now via Group Bracil.

Verbz: Still Here

A welcome return for Verbz as he kicks off the run up to his new album, with a fresh track – Still Here. Produced by Morriarchi, the track is lifted from the full-length project which is due out on Group Bracil soon. More news as and when.

Old Paradice: Wake Up

More lo-fi wonders from Old Paradice as they release the next video from their debut EP. Wake Up is all dreamy jazz horns and laid-back lyricism, thanks to Morriarchi and Confucius MC’s respective talents. The full EP, The Last Resort, is out now on Group Bracil.

Old Paradice: The Last Resort (Stream)

Tomorrow sees the release of the new collaborative project from Confucius MC and Morriarchi. Known collectively as Old Paradice, the duo have combined their ample individual talents into one refined rap entity, which sits in its own niche thanks to a sound and style reminiscent of days past, while keeping a steady finger on the pulse of the new wave.

We have already been treated to a couple of samples from The Last Resort, but the full project is going to surpass those expectations as they deliver songs with solid features from both Violet Springs and Blu.
I am also pleased to be able to announce that the EP will be available on limited edition cassette (as pictured), which comes complete with stickers and a mini personalised Old Paradice Polaroid. Pre-orders for all of this is available over on Bandcamp and you can stream the EP below.

Old Paradice: Sunkissed

Strong debut from newly formed duo, Old Paradice, as they rake up summer memories on Sunkissed. Consisting of producer, Morriarchi and lyricist, Confucius MC, the pair have gathered enough credits and plaudits within the scene over the years for this new outfit to be an inevitable success. Sunkissed is lifted from the forthcoming EP, The Last Resort. The single is out now via Bandcamp and the EP is scheduled for release on 18 January on Group Bracil.

Scran Cartel: Blue Plaque Candidates (Stream)

Having got our hunger pangs raging with a couple of leaked tracks, last Friday saw the release of the full album from Scran Cartel aka MNSR Frites and Benny Diction. As well as their own ample skills, the two MCs have also drafted in a wealth of talent to assist with the album, including features from Oliver Sudden, Tony Skank and Juga-Naut, as well as production credits from the likes of Krang, Chemo and Morriarchi. The album is available to stream in full below and downloads are available on Bandcamp.

Black Josh x Sleazy: Liquorwish

New joint from Black Josh & Sleazy as they reunite on Liquorwish. The track is produced by Morriarchi and you can stream it below.

Scran Cartel: Scrantro

This week sees the arrival of the new project from MNSR Frites and Benny Diction – aka Scran Cartel. The food loving duo are hitting us with 12 tracks, including the previously highlighted Bon Appétit and this freshly baked intro, Scrantro.
It’s produced by Morriarchi, who is just one of the talented heads involved in the album, alongside the likes of Krang, Juga-Naut and Chemo. You can stream Scrantro below and you can cop a pre-order for the album over on Bandcamp. The release date is scheduled for 3 August.

Bisk: Koyote

We have also recently been blessed with the long-awaited Hardcorepimpfunk LP from Bisk, produced in full by Morriarchi. More on that to follow, but for now you can enjoy a taste with the video for Koyote, which was released today. Gritty visuals for a gritty track. Hardcorepimpfunk is available now on Blah Records.
