I love Levelz. Everything the Manchester collective does seems to be founded on the basis that they have a shit load of fun in the process and this latest joint is no exception. Front Face was filmed during the madness of Outlook Festival and features bars from Skittles, T-Man, Truthos Mufasa, Chunky, Chimpo and Black Josh, with Biome and Metrodome on production. The track is also available as a free download, which you can grab via Bandcamp. The video was made by Tarnish Vision.

Your friendly local cult leader and rap don, Lee Scott, just released his brand new project. Humbly titled SUPERGOD5000PLUS, the EP is eight tracks strong, with Estonian production entity, DEW8, handling all the beats. We have already been treated to two videos, which emerged in quick succession last week and I’m happy to confirm the rest of the EP/album/whatever you want to call it follows in the same fashion. Loads of features from Sniff, Milk, Slumrok, Salar, Black Josh and Nah Eeto. You can stream the whole thing below and you can cop a download over on Bandcamp. Read the rest of this entry »

Dark and brooding vibes from Manchester’s Black Josh and Biome, as they reconnect on Shoko Asahara. Named after the infamous leader of Japanese cult Aum Shinrikyo, the track was released as a Halloween special earlier in the week. Josh also released his new Brexit mixtape recently, so plenty of new stuff for you to get stuck into. You can stream Shoko Asahara below. Read the rest of this entry »

That Sound is the latest track to be lifted from the recent Verb T & Pitch 92 album, Good Evening. When it was announced that the two of them were making an album together, I thought back to their collaborations on the last Mouse Outfit album and knew that the likelihood was that they were going to create something brilliant. Good Evening is just that.
The Man With the Foggy Eyes is one of Verb T’s strongest releases and that was the result of him working with just one producer, so I had high hopes for his collaboration with Pitch and even they were surpassed. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s been just over a year since we had a solo project from Black Josh, but for those of you fiendin’ out there, fear not cos the man is back with a new mixtape. It’s called Brexit and it is going to feature loads of new music from the Manchester MC, including this Torai produced nugget, Little Rock. Pre-orders for the mixtape are available now via iTunes.

Got another new video from The Mouse Outfit for you, following on from Revolution and Bring Me Down, which emerged over the last few months. This new one features Black Josh and TrueMendous, over a nice beat from Chini.

Since the events in Manchester a few weeks ago, the outpourings of love and charity for the city have been inspiring to say the least. Especially with division and hate seeming to be at an all-time high in the UK right now. Up there with the best of them is this new compilation, Manchester With Love.
Featuring over 220 tracks, from Manchester’s musical community, this album does two things – it shows the rich diversity and unity within the various Manchester scenes, plus it also shows that the great city and it’s residents will not be brought down or divided by these horrendous acts. Bisk is back with a bang as he prepares to take us all on a trip to Gutter City. The Swamp Harbour general has been steadily releasing solid project after solid project, laying waste to the idea that quality and quantity are mutually exclusive. Read the rest of this entry »
