Benaddict, Slim & Ella Mae Sueref: Seven Days + LP News

I’m very happy to be able to share new music from Benaddict, Slim and Ella Mae Sueref. The trio first collaborated back in 2017 when they released Teal – a personal favourite from the Village Live catalogue. Now they’re back with a new album on the horizon and it looks set to prove that their last union was no fluke. Seven Days is one of the tracks that has been released ahead of the full drop, so you can get a feel for the jazzy soulful blend of hip hop that the trio embraces. Pre-orders for Cerulean are available now via Bandcamp, where you can also hear three more tracks. The full album is due for release on 3 November.

Ile Flottante & Pertrelli Purple: Gone Trying (Stream)

Very nice sounds emanating from the YOGOCOP camp, as Ile Flottante and Pertrelli Purple release their new collaboration. Heavy on the jazz strains, Flottante’s production blends seamlessly with Pertrelli’s bars, allowing for maximum appreciation of both, without losing anything from either. Weighty on the features too, with Benaddict, NuphZed, Jordan Nathaniel and Bronte Shande, all bringing their voices to the mix. Benaddict: Mother Earth

Another treat here from the forthcoming Benaddict album, which sees its release later this month. The YOGOCOP resident has called in Philanthrope and Plusma to handle the production on Mother Earth, resulting in a heavily woozy and vaguely melancholic jazz-fuelled beat, which suits the mood perfectly. Benaddict’s album, Rain Falls, is due for release on 26 June.

Benaddict: Angel Eyes

Very happy to be able to bring you new music from Benaddict, as he returns to the fore with a new single. The Yogocop MC and producer has been relatively silent since his 2018 album, A New Leaf, so it’s nice to hear him back at it, and with a really nice track too. Angel Eyes features production from Mr Slipz, fresh from his recent signing with High Focus alongside Verbz. The track is the first to be taken from Benaddict’s upcoming album, Rain Falls, which I will have more news on soon. The video was made by This & That Media. Harvs Le Toad: Chicks & Tikka Naans (Stream)

Today is also release day for the debut solo LP from Harvs Le Toad. The Yogocop MC has rounded up a strong selection of players to help make Chicks & Tikka Naans a powerful touch paper for the flames that are likely to follow in his career. Production comes from the likes of Benaddict, Mr Slipz and Saulthesame, plus there are some nice features from Dirty Dike, Benaddict, Salmon Hands and CW Jones. The album is available to stream below and you can grab physicals/downloads over on Bandcamp.

Harvs Le Toad: Some Days

Great track from the upcoming debut LP from Yogocop representative, Harvs Le Toad. Some Days sees Harvs hooking up with fellow label-mate, Benaddict, who injects his top notch production skills into the proceedings. Chicks & Tikka Naans is due out on 31 January and you can find pre-orders over on the Yogocop store.

Benaddict: Shades Of You

New single from Benaddict, which emerged last week. Shades Of You features joint production from FloFilz and Psalm Trees aka Benaddict’s production alter ego. There is also a B-side called Just Write, which is solely produced by Psalm Trees. As well as the digital version, the Yogocop MC has also pressed a single 10″ vinyl copy which he is currently auctioning off on his Facebook page. The money raised will go to Mind. Benaddict: Rainbow Coloured Weather + Album Stream

Another jewel from the crown that is Benaddict’s latest album. The Yogocop MC was the force behind two of last year’s high points – The Garden of England and Teal – and now he is back with A New Leaf. The production on the album is split between Ded Tebiase and psalm/trees, with both producers tuning into that classic boom bap sound that Benaddict always works best with.

Benaddict: Say Nothing

As I said last week Benaddict has been working on his new album, which is produced by both Ded Tebiase and psalm/trees. This is the first official video, following on from the promo bars he released last week and it sees Tebiase take to the boards for Say Nothing. One of my favourite voices on the UK scene has a new album coming. Benaddict released two excellent albums last year, his solo LP The Garden of England and also Teal, which was a collaboration with vocalist Ella Mae and producer, Slim. 2018 will see him release A New Leaf and this week he dropped a video to help promote the album.
