Very nice sounds emanating from the YOGOCOP camp, as Ile Flottante and Pertrelli Purple release their new collaboration. Heavy on the jazz strains, Flottante’s production blends seamlessly with Pertrelli’s bars, allowing for maximum appreciation of both, without losing anything from either. Weighty on the features too, with Benaddict, NuphZed, Jordan Nathaniel and Bronte Shande, all bringing their voices to the mix. You can hear the full project below, with pre-orders for the vinyl run available over on Bandcamp. Continue reading “Ile Flottante & Pertrelli Purple: Gone Trying (Stream)”

Wish Master: The Bull (Stream)
New music here from Wish Master as he releases his latest album, The Bull. Following on from the Ral Duke produced intro which emerged the other week, production is varied throughout thanks to contributions from a few unfamiliar names (to me anyway), including Van Dam, Chimera and Niya, as well as the always on point, Hozay. Only two guests involved, with CW Jones lending his vocals to Don’t Waste Time and fellow OR artist, Jordan Nathaniel, dropping in on a few tracks. You can hear the whole project below, with downloads available via Bandcamp. Continue reading “Wish Master: The Bull (Stream)”
Baileys Brown ft. Lee Scott & Dabbla: Something Else Entirely (Not Human) + Album Stream
Very happy to finally be able to bring you the new Baileys Brown solo LP in all its genre-defying glory. If you’re already familiar with Baileys Brown’s work, you will know he is a producer who is not afraid to venture outside the normal constraints of a genre and draw on musical influences from other areas, to create unique soundscapes which are among some of the most ambitious in the UK right now. When he found a home at Potent Funk it seemed like the ideal setting for his exploits, thanks to their already established love of ‘hybrid rap shit’ and with that in mind, Still Fresh serves as the perfect label debut. Wish Master: Boombap To The Future (Stream)
Bristol-based MC, Wish Master (FKA Wish) is one of many artists in the UK who has been consistently going from strength to strength for a while now and this new solo album feels like the culmination of all that effort. Despite having put out a number of releases over the years, this is the first full-length solo LP that Wish Master has blessed us with and it is a worthy addition to his ever-expanding catalogue.
As the title suggests, this is something of a head-nod extravaganza, thanks to the always reliable Baileys Brown, who handles virtually all the production on the album. There are also a few notable guest spots along the way, with Tac, Glock, Tug MC, Scarboy, Jordan Nathaniel, Walter Black and Buggsy on hand to bolster the project. You can stream Boombap To The Future in full below, with downloads and physicals available via Bandcamp, including a limited edition double vinyl run. Jordan Nathaniel x Wish: Poets Prayer
Nice mellow joint from the recently released Astro Travelling EP, from Jordan Nathaniel and Wish. The video was made by This & That Media and the EP is available now via Bandcamp.
Vard & Wish Feat. Glock, Tona, Dash Villz, Ellis, R.E & Jordan Nathaniel: Riot
Huge posse cut from the essential World War 3 LP by Vard and Wish. On Riot they enlist Glock, Tona, Dash Villz, Ellis, R.E. and Jordan Nathaniel to blitzkrieg another strong beat from Baileys Brown. The album is available to buy now on Official Recordings.
Vard & Wish ft. Jordan Nathaniel: Rearrange
Soothing sounds in the new video from Vard and Wish. Rearrange features some great vocal work from Jordan Nathaniel, as the trio let loose on a suitably relaxed beat from Hozay. The track is lifted from last year’s Real EP and the video was made by Mario Mangata. Watch out for Vard & Wish’s collab with Baileys Brown, WW3, coming soon.
