Next month the Concorde 2 in Brighton plays host to a number of UK rap luminaries, as they gather in the Southern city in support of a very good cause. For the past few years the Bimiri Foundation have been trying to secure enough funding to build a water pipeline for the Nepalese village of Bimiri. It should go without saying that everyone in the world has the right to clean water access, but as we all know this is very from the reality of the hardships a lot of people have to face every day. Crabman is the latest video to be lifted from Harv Le Toad’s debut album, Chicks & Tikka Naans. The track is produced by label-mate, Mr Slipz, with guest appearances from SMB’s Dirty Dike and Sammy B-Side.

Today is also release day for the debut solo LP from Harvs Le Toad. The Yogocop MC has rounded up a strong selection of players to help make Chicks & Tikka Naans a powerful touch paper for the flames that are likely to follow in his career. Production comes from the likes of Benaddict, Mr Slipz and Saulthesame, plus there are some nice features from Dirty Dike, Benaddict, Salmon Hands and CW Jones. Check out this recently published video, made from footage that was filmed three years ago for a track from Finn Mcveigh, iNDEX, illiterate and CW Jones. Good to see it finally being given life. Reflections is produced by Mr Slipz.

Another strong track to be lifted from the Mr Slipz album, which dropped recently on Yogocop Records. For Sketches, Slipz teams up with Verbz again, following on from their excellent collaborative Lessons of Adolescence LP, which came out last year. The video was shot by Ringz Ov Saturn. It Don’t Stop is available to buy now from the Yogocop store.

Looks like it’s going to be another great year for the Yogocop family, if the first single from Mr Slipz’s upcoming album is anything to go by. Mic Loud features two blistering verses from Vitamin G and Verbz, all backed up with Slipz’s tough production and finished off with a strong video from Ringz Ov Saturn. Pre-orders for the album are available now via the Yogocop Records store and the release date is set for 1 March.
