Friday saw the release of what will no doubt be one of the rawest albums of 2019, courtesy of Datkid and Leaf Dog, along with the next video from the project, Cook Book. The video was made by This & That Media. Confessions of a Crudlord is available now on High Focus and you can stream it in full below. Read the rest of this entry »

High Focus’s latest signing kick off their residency with a brand new video for Whatuplayin@. If you don’t know, CMPND consists of MCs Kemastry, Vitamin G and Wundrop, who also handles production. Whatuplayin@ is a grimy little intro to the crew and a good indicator of things to come. The video was made by This & That Media.

As anticipation grows for the new Datkid album, today saw the release of the second video from the project. Eyes features Griselda heavyweight, Conway, as well as a verse from the album’s sole producer, Leaf Dog. The video was made by This & That Media. Confessions Of A Crudlord is coming soon on High Focus.

Very pleased to see this drop into my various timelines this morning – a solo single from one of my favourite MCs, Ronnie Bosh. Produced by fellow SMB compadre, Dirty Dike, I am hoping this is a sign that we have a full-length solo effort on the way; something that has been notably absent from the UK scene for a while. The video was made by This & That Media.

Another audio visual treat from the upcoming Onoe Caponoe album, as the intergalactic cat lord returns with his latest single, Valentines Massacre. Once again it’s Jae Genius on the beat, with the ever capable This & That Media on video duties. Surf or Die is set for release on 29 March on High Focus.

Today sees the release of the latest album from veteran mic killer, Ramson Badbonez and to celebrate the occasion, High Focus have also released a new video. Weirdos is produced by Illinformed and comes with a fear & loathing style video, featuring a whole bunch of distorted faces (including mine), courtesy of the always on point, This & That Media. Mic Day The 13th is available now over at the High Focus store and you can stream the full thing below. Read the rest of this entry »

Nice collaboration here from VRBL’s own, Press1 and Sylla B, as they team up with the good Dr Syntax for Smartphone Zombies. The track is produced by Just Sayin and is available to stream/download now.

One of the releases I’m looking forward to this year is the debut solo LP from Lazy Eyez. The Pupils of the Clock MC has been one of my ones to watch for a minute now and this project will further demonstrate exactly why. Icarus is the lead single from the album, with Lazy going back to his roots over some solid production from Ed Zilla. The video was made by This & That Media. Coastline To Cityscape is out on 25 February on Green Brick Records.

Parallax starts off his year the right way, with a great track called In Doubt For Too Long. It’s accompanied by a brilliant video too, courtesy of This & That Media, who are easily my favourite videographers in the game right now. Some of the effects in this are blinding. The track is self-produced and is lifted from Parallax’s recent album, Auditory Vision, which is available to buy now via Bandcamp.

Happy to be able to bring you the premiere of the latest video from one of my favourite crews, Pupils of the Clock. The Bristol-based duo put out a blinding debut album at the start of the year, with DMT being just one of the many gems to be found on there. The production comes from Richy Spitz and the video was made by This & That Media. Keep a look out for more POTC music coming soon, as well as solo projects from both Tok and Lazy Eyez. Their Timeless LP is available now via Bandcamp.
