New single from Benaddict, which emerged last week. Shades Of You features joint production from FloFilz and Psalm Trees aka Benaddict’s production alter ego. There is also a B-side called Just Write, which is solely produced by Psalm Trees. As well as the digital version, the Yogocop MC has also pressed a single 10″ vinyl copy which he is currently auctioning off on his Facebook page. The money raised will go to Mind. You can find the details here but be quick cos it closes at 5pm today. You can stream Shades Of You below. Continue reading “Benaddict: Shades Of You”
With a week to go until the release of their latest album, Concept of Thought have treated us to another video from the project. Once again Breathe is produced by Joe Corfield and the video was made by Brothers of the Mud. You can pre-order Misty Blue now over at the Yogocop store.
Illiterate & Awfer reunite as Concept of Thought for a new project, which is produced in full by Joe Corfield. Misty Blue is the title track and our first insight into what the duo have been cooking up. They have enlisted the ample talents of local Brighton-based vocalist, Daisy Drage, as well as a decent video from Brothers Of The Mud. Misty Blue is due out on Yogocop Records very soon.
Speaking of Yogocop, they just dropped another great release in the form of Harv Le Toad’s solo EP. Garlic Mayo Vol. 1 features five solid tracks, with guest spots from Vitamin G, Louis Loan, Bill Greene and Kemastry, who makes two appearances, including one on this joint, Rose Petals. The video was made by Brothers Of The Mud. Garlic Mayo is available to buy now.
It’s a Yogocop double bill, as I can also bring you the brand new video from Wundrop and Kemastry. Donkey Punch is the first glimpse at what we can expect from their album, Frosty Raps – The Tales Of Huff Jenks & King Long, which is due for release on 24 March. You can get your pre-orders in now via Yogocop.
Another strong track to be lifted from the Mr Slipz album, which dropped recently on Yogocop Records. For Sketches, Slipz teams up with Verbz again, following on from their excellent collaborative Lessons of Adolescence LP, which came out last year. The video was shot by Ringz Ov Saturn. It Don’t Stop is available to buy now from the Yogocop store.
Another jewel from the crown that is Benaddict’s latest album. The Yogocop MC was the force behind two of last year’s high points – The Garden of England and Teal – and now he is back with A New Leaf. The production on the album is split between Ded Tebiase and psalm/trees, with both producers tuning into that classic boom bap sound that Benaddict always works best with.
As I said last week Benaddict has been working on his new album, which is produced by both Ded Tebiase and psalm/trees. This is the first official video, following on from the promo bars he released last week and it sees Tebiase take to the boards for Say Nothing. The single is available to buy and stream now from all the usual platforms. You can also pre-order the vinyl for A New Leaf here.
Looks like it’s going to be another great year for the Yogocop family, if the first single from Mr Slipz’s upcoming album is anything to go by. Mic Loud features two blistering verses from Vitamin G and Verbz, all backed up with Slipz’s tough production and finished off with a strong video from Ringz Ov Saturn. Pre-orders for the album are available now via the Yogocop Records store and the release date is set for 1 March.
Last week Yogocop Records released a new video from Benaddicts’s recent LP, The Garden of England and so I thought I’d use the opportunity to tell you how fucking good the album is. If you’re yet to experience it, suffice it to say it is easily one of my favourite UK releases of this year and is arguably one of the more accomplished releases of the year too.
