Can’t Do This Alone is the latest track to be taken from the now officially released Wiki album, Half God. The track features fellow NY artist, Navy Blue, who is at the production helm for the duration of the album. As well as Navy’s presence, Half God also features Earl Sweatshirt, MIKE and Remy Banks, among others. You can watch the video above, then check the rest of the album below. Physicals and downloads are available from Bandcamp.Continue reading “Wiki ft. Navy Blue: Can’t Do This Alone + LP Stream”
Next month will see the release of a new album from WIKI, as he joins forces with rising NY artist, Navy Blue, who is producing the full project. We’ve already been treated to two teasers from the album, which you can hear below, including the superbly melodic, Remarkably. The rest of the album includes features from Navy Blue himself, as well as Jesse James Solomon, MIKE, Earl Sweatshirt, Remy Banks and duendita. Half God is due for release on 1 October, with pre-orders available now.Continue reading “WIKI: Roof / Remarkably + LP News”
A new video from Wiki as he unleashes the latest track from last year’s OOFIE album. The Routine was co-produced by Roofeeo, XXXChange, NAH and Matt Lubansky. Continue reading “Wiki: The Routine”
We now have a home movie style video for the recent drop from Wiki, where the Ratking MC delivered his distinctive flows over some tasty Madlib production. Streaming options for Eggs are also available.
Always happy to see the arrival of new music from Wiki, even more so when the production is handled by Madlib. Aside from another single in 2018, Eggs is the only music we’ve heard from the New York MC since his superb 2017 album, No Mountains in Manhattan. I’m hoping this means that another album is on the way, but for now enjoy this nutritious loosie.
It will come as no surprise that the new album from Mr Muthafuckin’ eXquire is another triumph. The self-titled LP saw its full release today and features a very focused eXquire delivering some of his best raps to date. To coincide with the release, the New York artist has also dropped a new video for one of my personal highlights from the album. A Definite Maybe features another of my NY favourites, Wiki, as well as some tough production from CONSTROBUZ. You can stream the album below and downloads are available from the usual platforms. The second Your Old Droog project in as many months emerged last week, as the New York MC and producer released Transportation. He was already being touted as a contender for your album of the year lists with It Wasn’t Even Close and by all accounts Transportation seems to be getting similar responses. Wiki was responsible for one of 2017’s best albums, in a year that was consistently peppered with musical high points. Litt 15 is just one segment of the dope that was on display on No Mountains in Manhattan, and features a tight appearance from Your Old Droog. The track is produced by DJ Earl Teklife. No Mountains is out now on XL Recordings.
Great video from one of my favourite rap entities, Wiki and his recently released No Mountains In Manhattan album. Mayor is just one of the high points from the LP, whch features a few guest spots from the likes of Ghostface, Lakutis and Your Old Droog. Wiki remains the star throughout though, as he rides a nice varied selection of beats with his instantly recognisable flow. Mayor is produced by Tony Seltzer, Alex Epton and Rafi Gavron. The album is out now on XL Recordings.
The Ratking rapper is back with a new video. Progress sees Wiki let loose his distinctive flow over a Black Milk banger.
