Brilliant live rendition of the title track from AVER’s latest album, as he brings his new band, MOVE 78, into the mix. As well as AVER himself, the band is made up of Nir Sabag on drums, Hal Strewe on bass and Doron Segal on keys. The full album is available now on Village Live Records.
Another great track from the recent Aver album, Dressed For CCTV. The Fear Of Being Offline is actually a remix of a track by an Argentinian band of the same name. The video was made by Ja-m-es. Dressed For CCTV is out now on Village Live Records.
On 2 November, Village Live are going to be releasing the new album from UK producer, Aver; the follow up to his stunning 2017 project, Die Berlin Dateien.
Something From Nothing is the lead single from the album and today I am pleased to be able to bring you the premiere of the brand new video. The track features Nottingham heavyweight, Cappo – the sole feature on the project – and the pair deliver a strong start to what looks set to be another jewel in the Village Live crown.
Dressed For CCTV will be available on all the usual formats, via the Village Live store and there will also be a one-off test press of the vinyl available for sale on 28 October, which you you will be able to find here. The album itself will be available to pre-order from 7pm on 29 October.
The mighty Village Live recently announced their latest release from Gas-Lab and Traum Diggs, the follow-up to the duo’s 2013 project, Jazz Hop. Heartskip is the first video to be lifted from the album and features singer/songwriter, Res, alongside the ample talent of musician, Hector Mario. Jazz Hop Vol. 2 is scheduled for release on 1 October, with vinyl pre-orders available from the Village Live store.
Yesterday I shared the promo mix for the upcoming album from Remulak and today I get to bring you a new video from the project. Division is one of the gems that have been excavated from the vault to be given new life on One. The album is due for release on 13 August and pre-orders are available now via Village Live.
Remulak recently announced the release of his latest album and in typical Village Live fashion, there is a nice little promo mix from Evil Ed to tide us over until the drop. The album is a collection of tracks from Remulak’s archives, which he made between 2005-2018. Pre-orders went up last night over at the Village Live store, with the release scheduled for 13 August. Another jewel in the crown that is the latest album from Robohands. Strings, keys and psychedelia in the video too; what more could you ask for? Green is out now on Village Live Records.
As reported last week, Micall Parknsun and Mr Thing have combined their ample hip hop talents to create a new album. The album was officially released today on Village Live, along with a video for one of the many gems you can find on there. 8 Bricks features Melanin 9 and the video was shot by Dfacer. Finish What We Started is available now via the Village Live store.
Two legends unite on the latest release from Village Live. Micall Parknsun and Mr Thing, both hugely respected in their own right, first blessed us with a single in 2017 and have now combined their ample talents to bring us a whole album. The aptly titled Finish What We Started is produced entirely by Mr Thing, with Parky on mic duties. He is joined by some familiar names, with Konny Kon, Melanin 9, Joker Starr & Essa fka Yungun all blessing the album with verses. The album went up for pre-order last night and there is a promo mix from Mr Thing which you can listen to below. Continue reading “Micall Parknsun & Mr Thing: Finish What We Started (Promo Mix)”
Village Live show no signs of slowing down their slew of releases and even seem to be stepping up a gear, as they prepare to drop yet another album. This time it’s a step away from the dusty hip hop instrumentals that have become their M.O. and an excursion into the jazz renaissance that is gathering strength at the moment. Robohands is the artist providing the music and his album, Green, looks set to be a very accomplished project. Lost is one of the tracks that will be found on there and gives you a good insight into Robohand’s sound and also his approach, as the video sees him laying down some drums in the studio. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album, which is released in full on 23 May. If you head over to Bandcamp you can pre-order and listen to a couple more tracks from the album.
