Upfront ft. Aisha’mae: Ugaly

The third cut from the upcoming Upfront album arrived yesterday, further paving the way for another Split Prophets success. Upfront and Chris Lucas have got a good partnership going and the addition of Evermoor Sound’s Aisha’mae, makes Ugaly a high point for me amongst all these strong, recent releases. The album is up for pre-order now, with a release date scheduled for 28 September.

Upfront: Why They Hate

This is the second single to be lifted from Upfront’s forthcoming album, which follows on from 2014’s Upfront & Personal. Fellow Bristol resident, Chris Lucas is the man behind the beats and it sounds like it’s going to be another success for the Split Prophets family. No release date for Lettermorphosis yet, but stay tuned for more news on that as and when.

Upfront: Contagious

Bristol MC, Upfront, is hitting us with a new album shortly, the follow-up to his Upfront & Personal LP from 2014. The Split Prophet member has obviously been putting in the work in the meantime, as is demonstrated on the first single from the project, Contagious. The track is produced by fellow Bristol artist, Chris Lucas (Arun Productions), with cuts from DJ Rogue and a wicked video from Parallel Media.

Split Prophets: Delta Bravo Kilo

Split Prophets have been a recognised name in UK hip hop since they burst out of Bristol with their Scribbled Thoughts EP. That was back in 2011 and after a slew of solo releases and a couple of posse cuts, this year sees the release of their first crew album, Delta Bravo Kilo.
