Strong stuff from the Bristol scene, as Rogue & Relly release their new album. Both Rogue and Relly, producer and MC respectively, have been on the circuit for years so this album was always going to be full of promise and at 14 tracks deep, I’m pleased to say it delivers on that promise. Features come from Upfront MC, who drops in on Push The Button and Terminal of Innalife Rhymes, who appears on Strangers. Let Them Know is available to stream below and you can get physicals via AFT Raps. Read the rest of this entry »

Last week saw the arrival of the latest video from Upfront’s 2017 Lettermorphosis LP. The Split Prophets MC has another of his gang in tow, as he enlists Paro to help him bless the Chris Lucas produced track. The video was made by Parallel Media. Lettermorphosis is available to buy now.

Upfront just released his second solo album and to accompany the launch, there is a brand new video too. The Answer is produced by Bewbonik. The album, Lettermorphosis, is available to buy here.

The third cut from the upcoming Upfront album arrived yesterday, further paving the way for another Split Prophets success. Upfront and Chris Lucas have got a good partnership going and the addition of Evermoor Sound’s Aisha’mae, makes Ugaly a high point for me amongst all these strong, recent releases. The album is up for pre-order now, with a release date scheduled for 28 September.

This is the second single to be lifted from Upfront’s forthcoming album, which follows on from 2014’s Upfront & Personal. Fellow Bristol resident, Chris Lucas is the man behind the beats and it sounds like it’s going to be another success for the Split Prophets family. No release date for Lettermorphosis yet, but stay tuned for more news on that as and when.

Bristol MC, Upfront, is hitting us with a new album shortly, the follow-up to his Upfront & Personal LP from 2014. The Split Prophet member has obviously been putting in the work in the meantime, as is demonstrated on the first single from the project, Contagious. The track is produced by fellow Bristol artist, Chris Lucas (Arun Productions), with cuts from DJ Rogue and a wicked video from Parallel Media.

Brand new video from Split Prophets, lifted from last year’s ever dope Delta Bravo Kilo album. Roadhouse is produced by Badhabitz. The video was shot by Dfacer and the graff comes courtesy of Sace Gold. DBK is available now over on Bandcamp.

This was a solid release from back in June that might have passed you by at the time. Hailing from Andover, Broken Poetz are two MCs called D.Know and Mystero, who have been putting music out together for the past few years. Read the rest of this entry »

Sticking with Bristol, the ever prolific Split Prophets crew just put out another new video, this time Upfront with his U.P.F.R.O.N.T. anthem. Produced by Badhabitz with a great video from Arun Productions, the track was orginally released in 2014 on the Upfront and Personal project.

Split Prophets have been a recognised name in UK hip hop since they burst out of Bristol with their Scribbled Thoughts EP. That was back in 2011 and after a slew of solo releases and a couple of posse cuts, this year sees the release of their first crew album, Delta Bravo Kilo. The eight strong collective have brought us 20 solid songs that prove exactly why they’ve amassed so many fans. Read the rest of this entry »
