I somehow let this one slip through the gaps last month, but better late than never and it definitely hasn’t lost any of its appeal in the interim. Wish Master continues to position himself as one of the most prolific and consistent MCs of his generation, with another strong collaboration, this time alongside the equally prolific, Illinformed. Coldharbour Tales is a distinctly Bristolian album, from the title itself to the guest stars that Wish and Illinformed have enlisted for the event. Features from the likes of Axel Holy, Upfront, Datkid, Eric the Red and Flying Monk, keep the Bristol flag flying, as well as appearances from Verb T and Gee Bag, which push beyond the city walls. You can experience a taste of the album for yourself below, then head to Bandcamp for all your digital and physical needs.Continue reading “Wish Master x Illinformed: Coldharbour Tales (Stream)”
Bristol represent in the latest video from Split Prophets. It’s been a while since we heard from the crew, so it’s good to hear Res and Upfront going back to back on this tasty cut from Badhabitz. Also props to This & That Media, who pulled out all the stops to put the video together, resulting in a sublime patchwork tour of the city.
I’ve been a bit slow on the uptake with this new collaboration from Split Prophets member, Upfront, and Daily Concept producer, Beppo, but it’s definitely a release you should be paying attention to. Vocal Point is the title track from their EP and also the latest track to be given the video treatment, courtesy of Parallel Media. The full EP is out now via Split Prophets. New music from the Split Prophets camp, as Joey Paro releases his latest EP. For Victory Gin, Paro has teamed up with the ever-prolific Illinformed, with the pair cooking up some of those healthy head nod flavours.
The ever-prolific Illinformed has yet another new project on the horizon, this time uniting with Split Prophets OG, Joey Paro. No Fill is our introduction to the EP and features a nice appearance from fellow SP member, Upfront. The Victory Gin EP is due for release on 12 August, with pre-orders available now via Bandcamp.
Upfront returns with another new video as he rounds off his recent double A-side release. Spectator is produced by Chris Lucas, who is also the brains behind the video. Look At This/Spectator is available now on digital download.
Bristol’s finest return with a brand new video, the first to be taken from their upcoming and much-anticipated crew EP. Bad News features raps from Upfront and Datkid, with Badhabitz on production. The Forecast EP is due for release on 15 April, with pre-orders available over on Bandcamp. The video was made by Parallel Media.
Another new release from today is the latest video from Upfront, taken from his upcoming double A-side. Look At This is produced by fellow Split Prophets member, Badhabitz and the video was made by regular collaborator, Chris Lucas. The single is set for release on 29 March, with pre-orders available now via the SP Bandcamp.
Strong stuff from the Bristol scene, as Rogue & Relly release their new album. Both Rogue and Relly, producer and MC respectively, have been on the circuit for years so this album was always going to be full of promise and at 14 tracks deep, I’m pleased to say it delivers on that promise. Features come from Upfront MC, who drops in on Push The Button and Terminal of Innalife Rhymes, who appears on Strangers. Let Them Know is available to stream below and you can get physicals via AFT Raps. Continue reading “Rogue & Relly: Let Them Know (Stream)”
Last week saw the arrival of the latest video from Upfront’s 2017 Lettermorphosis LP. The Split Prophets MC has another of his gang in tow, as he enlists Paro to help him bless the Chris Lucas produced track. The video was made by Parallel Media. Lettermorphosis is available to buy now.
