At the end of this month, Sylla B is set to release his album. Following his rise over the last couple of years, which included a string of excellent releases, Sylla is now poised to cement his place on the scene with a full-length solo project. The Walls Have Eyes features production from a number of different sources, including DROG Beats, Oozhe and Moody Lew, as well as features from the likes of Yung Toro and Gabriel Waves. Three tracks are ready to stream now, which you can find below, and pre-orders can be made via Bandcamp.

This week we were treated to the release of the new EP from CLBRKS, as he continues to build on the foundations he’s been laying for the past couple of years. New heat from CLBRKS, as he continues run of loosie drops with Snake Soup. The track features some strong production from Kiina and the super-slick video is another win for Honey JD. Expect more new music from CLBRKS emerging soon.
Another frenzied lyrical assault from Vulgatron, as he continues to pave the way for his new solo career in the post-Foreign Beggars era. Blind is produced by Oddprophet and it’s available to stream/download via Never Say Die Records.
The Bad Taste roster recently gained some extra muscle, as they announced the imminent arrival of a new project from Bahamian rapper, Obijuan. The internationally roaming artist has teamed up with GRIMM Doza for Layin Low, a simple but effective, stripped back track which provides some useful insight into the rapper’s appeal. Obijuan’s latest album, The King’s Wishes, is due for release on 20 November.
Bristol in full effect on this brand new track from rising producer, DROG Beats, as he brings in two generations of local MCs. Any regular visitors to my blog will already know about Sylla B and his rise over the last couple of years, thanks to his often devastating flows. He is joined on the track by Bristol double-time OG and all-round lyrical monster, Buggsy. As you can imagine the final product is pretty special and highlights Bristol’s lengthy history of producing great lyricists. Enemies is also available to stream on all the usual platforms.
Nice little collaboration here, as TrollGang producer, Oozhe, calls on the formidable flows of VRBL’s Sylla B, for Grit Teeth.
More visual antics from Dr Syntax and Pete Cannon, as they carry on delivering gems from their most recent collaboration. Wallop is the title track from the album and features Syntax taking on a nice bit of trap, courtesy of Pete. It works far too well and now I just want to hear a whole trap album from them both. The video for Wallop was made by Si Haze Films and you can download the rest of the album over on Bandcamp.
As the temperature starts to drop and the evenings get darker, it’s best to have a good source of heat at hand to stave off the winter woes. Thankfully Frosty just released his new mixtape and it’s packed full of enough flames to melt what little is left of the Arctic.
