Animated joys in the third and final video from Telemachus’s most recent opus. The superbly titled, I Am Delicious And Cute. So I Will Go Buy Again, is taken from Boring & Weird Historical Music, which still stands tall as one of the more refreshing releases of the year. The animation for the video was done by Ugly Duck Studios. The album is out now on High Focus.
New music from Helsinki Booze Merchants, as they announce the release of their debut album. While the name might not be familiar in this form, their individual IDs will no doubt be, as the crew is made up of Luca Brazi, Benny Diction and Mnsr Frites, who have worked as solo artists and on plenty of collaborations together over the years. This latest offering is entirely produced by Brazi, as well as two remixes from Chemo and Chuck Enzo chucked in for good measure. You can sample a couple of the tracks below, including that Enzo remix, and then get set for the full release of the album, Film Poster Whips, on 1 August. There is also a Qrates push to get a vinyl edition made, so get involved with that if you can. More info here. Continue reading “Helsinki Booze Merchants: Film Poster Whips”
Fresh sounds from G00SE, as he emerges from his isolation cocoon with a fully formed new video. Streams of the single are also available.
Brand new track from Verbz and Mr Slipz, as they continue to celebrate their new union with High Focus. For My Peeps is a song for all those absent friends who cannot be with us for whatever reason and it is dedicated to Joey Deez of Village Live, who sadly passed away last week. He will be missed by many. The video was made by the LOUDHOUSE gang.
New music from the Blah camp, as GROUP announce their arrival with the release of their debut single, Everything I Know. No official info about the crew has been released yet, other than the fact that the track is produced by Jack Chard, but you will probably recognise the other members when you hear them. Everything I Know also features a slick verse from Lord Apex. This is the first single from GROUP’s forthcoming vinyl release, 1. More news on all that coming soon.
Another nice video from Twizzy, Jinxsta and Chris Lucas, as they continue to ride the wave from their recent EP release. Cracking On is taken from First Word Last, which is entirely produced by Chris. He’s also the man behind the video. The EP is available now via Bandcamp.
Following on from last year’s Prolefeed collab, Big Toast and 184 have reunited for another joint venture which is due to surface in the autumn. F.W.L. is our first taster from the project and it includes a welcome feature from The Strange Neighbour. More news on the album, Who Shit in the Sandpit, as and when I have it.
A burst of hope and positivity here from The Four Owls, as they continue to deliver the gems from their latest album. Soulful boom bap and four accomplished rappers; what more do you want? Be Free is taken from Nocturnal Instinct, which is out now on High Focus. The video was made by This & That Media.
More heat from Coops as he returns with his latest single, Bring The Fire. Once again, it’s Talos on the beat, resulting in the usual blend of jazzy brilliance and solid rhymes. The video was made by Craig Capone. Bring The Fire is also available to stream and download at the usual places.
