Roughcut Collective – aka Ambush Tactics & Twizzy – have a new EP on the horizon and to get us in the mood, last week saw the arrival of the first video. Lions is the titular track from the EP and is produced by Afire. The EP is released on full on 7 December and pre-orders are available via Bandcamp.

Last Friday saw the arrival of the next video to be taken from Twizzy’s latest album, Old Dog No Tricks. Old Flow features production from Billy Whizz and some great visuals from Chris Lucas (Although this blog would never condone bicycle theft). The album is out now on AFT Raps.

A welcome return for Twizzy, as he releases his latest album, Old Dog No Tricks. It’s been a while since his last release, back in February last year, but pleased to say the Bristol MC is still as on point as ever. It’s a collaboration between Twizzy and his old friend and collaborator, Billy Whizz, with the pair having such a good chemistry that whatever they turn their collective minds to is always going to work. There are plenty of local features too, with G00SE, Sylla B, Ambush Tactics and Jinxsta JX all dropping in with nice verses. The album is available to stream below, with downloads and physicals available over on Bandcamp. Read the rest of this entry »

Twizzy is due to return to the fore with a new album very soon and so to get us in the mood, yesterday saw the release of a new video from the project. Report is produced by fellow 3HB member, Billy Whizz and the highly entertaining video was made by Chris Lucas. The album, Old Dog No Tricks, is set for release on 10 September on AFT Raps.

In case, like me, you spent last month half asleep, you may have missed this new mixtape from Ramson Badbonez. Featuring a whole bunch of talented cats, alongside the ample skills of Badbonez himself, the project is compiled of tracks, remixes and features that the London MC has been involved with over the years. Jam Baxter, Twizzy, Rewd Adams and Micall Parknsun are just some of the voices that crop up throughout the mix, which clocks in at over an hour long and is available now for free. You can also stream it below. Read the rest of this entry »

New video for the title track from Twizzy’s latest solo album, Alarm Bells Ringing. Billy Whizz handled the production for the whole project and the video was shot by Joe Melarkey. You can download the album now over on Bandcamp.

Another dope release from Bristol, as Jinxsta JX drops his long-awaited solo album, Thoughts in Words.
He’s brought in a wide range of producers for the project, giving him a good range of beats to showcase his ample talents on the mic.
From the mellow sounds on tracks like Recap and Trip, to the livelier vibe on cuts like Welcome, the whole album is a gift to the ears from an MC who has taken his time to hone his craft and drop a gem on us.
His fellow 3HB MC, Twizzy, makes an appearance on Hard Work, but other than that the album is left free for Jinxsta to go to work.
You can stream the album below and downloads are available now via Bandcamp. Read the rest of this entry »
