TrueMendous: Sweetheart + EP Stream
Today is the day that TrueMendous delivers her new EP into the world; her first release since joining the High Focus ranks a couple of months ago. We had already been treated to a couple of singles from the EP and today, to coincide with the release, High Focus have dropped another new video. Sweetheart finds the Brum MC at her sharpest, as she obliterates some grimy yet slick production from Chemo. The production remains strong throughout the EP, thanks to further contributions from Pitch 92, Illinformed, Winchester and Marcus Jakes. All in all it feels like the perfect vehicle for showcasing TrueMendous’s talents and one that will hopefully get her the shine she deserves. You can hear HUH? in full below, with downloads available from the usual spots. Continue reading “TrueMendous: Sweetheart + EP Stream”
TrueMendous: O.T.Y.L Pt. 2
TrueMendous hits us with another phenomenal track, as she continues to settle down at High Focus. In the wake of the announcement that she had signed with the label, we have been blessed with two new videos plus a release date for her new EP. This latest track is produced by boom bap connoisseur, Illinformed, who lays the foundation for another obliterating performance from the Birmingham MC. The video only adds to the allure, thanks to a visual approach which echoes those infamous Busta Rhymes videos from the late 90’s. It was made by Oliver Marshall. TrueMendous’s EP, HUH?, is set for release on 20 March.
TrueMendous: That Don’t Mean
On Wednesday it was announced that High Focus had increased their numbers once again, with the introduction of TrueMendous onto their roster. It’s a win on two levels, as TrueMendous is an incredible MC who deserves more recognition, but also she is the first female artists to be signed by the label since their inception back in 2010, which is definitely a move in the right direction. For her debut HF release, the Birmingham MC has teamed up with label-mate Pitch 92 for That Don’t Mean, which provides a perfect snapshot of her energetic flows. The video was made by Leon Matthews. That Don’t Mean is available to stream now and stay tuned for more new music from TrueMendous coming soon.

Mesmerising flows from TrueMendous in her latest video, as she goes to work on some effectively sparse production from mynameisjOhn. The video was shot in Bristol by Sektion Red.
TrueMendous: Half Action Man, Half Barbie
TrueMendous is due to hit us with a new project this month, a follow up to her 2017 effort, P.S. This Is Your Mother Calling. Yesterday saw the release of a teaser track, in the form of Half Action Man, Half Barbie, which features the Birmingham MC going to work on a tight beat from Lowpass Luke. A good sign of what’s to come when P.S. This Is Your Father Calling arrives on 25 March. The video was made by Oliver Marshall & The Untitled Artist.
