Nice headnod vibes on the new track from Manchester-based collective, The Mouse Outfit. Revolution features Dr Syntax and Ellis Meade, with production from Pitch and Deese.
Pleased to see new music from The Mouse Outfit appear on my timeline last week. It’s been a couple of years since they released their last album, with a remix version arriving last year. The collaborator this time is Ellis Meade, founder of Room2 Records and one of the stars of the Step Steadier album. Bring Me Down is produced by Pitch. Word is we will be hearing more from Meade and The Mouse Outfit this year, so watch out for that.
A new video for one of the more infectious tracks from the latest album by The Mouse Outfit. Featuring no less than Fox, Sparkz, Jman and T-Man, as well as a lovely reggae/ska vibe to the whole thing, 007 is one of my favourites so far from the Manchester collective. The lyric video was made by Stemfour.
The Mouse Outfit released a new video yesterday, the next to be taken from their most recent album, Step Steadier. Time features Ellis Meade on vocals, over a typically tight beat from Pitch. Ellis also put the video together as well. Step Steadier is available to buy now from Bandcamp.
Dr Syntax should be a name known to anyone who has followed UK rap at any point during the last 10 years. Since his early days working with the likes of Foreign Beggars, to his more recent success as front man of The Mouse Outfit and his work with Pete Cannon, Syntax has built up a worthy following of fans. I recently had the chance to chat with him before The Mouse Outfit show in Bristol last month. We spoke about how he came to work with Mouse Outfit, where hip hop could be headed and his future plans with Pete Cannon. Continue reading “Dr Syntax: Interview”
Happy to see one of my favourite joints from the last Mouse Outfit album get its own video. Wrap Another Zoot features frequent collaborator and veteran MC Foxy, over a nice laid back beat from Pitch.
Good vibes in the latest video from the Mouse Outfit, as they bring some visual clarity to Sip a Little Bit of Rum. Featuring frequent collaborators Sparkz and Fox, who are both on fine form, the track is produced by Pitch. It is available to buy now, as well as the full album, over at Bandcamp.
New one from The Mouse Outfit and one of the original Native Tongues, Bam of Jungle Brothers fame, as they collaborate on What’d I Do?. Bam visited the UK recently and this video was shot on the road, while the gang were in Bristol and London.

It’s a good way to get something off the ground and some of the successes have been amazing. Continue reading “The Mouse Outfit: We Need a Bus! Kickstarter Campaign”
