In God’s Image is the latest album from Sleep Sinatra, which emerged at the tail end of last year. If you’ve checked my previous posts surrounding Sleep, then you will already know the man is a proficient MC and this is more than evident on this latest escapade. Strong features and production picks help to keep the energy levels raised, thanks to contributions from the likes of J Scienide, DØØf, Stu Bangas, BrainOrchestra, Big Flowers and Messiah Musik. You can explore the full release below and then head over to Bandcamp to grab yourself a download.Continue reading “Sleep Sinatra: In God’s Image (Stream)”
Another essential project from Sleep Sinatra, as he introduces us to the Sleeper Effect. This time round the Nebraska MC has brought in an array of production talent to assist with the proceedings and the result is a richly diverse listen, complemented by both Sinatra’s own brand of lyricism and by the guest rappers on the bill. Those guests are notable in their own right, with Defcee, Ty Farris, BubRock and Teller Bank$, all bringing their accomplished penmanship to the album. And production wise, you’ve got contributions from the likes of Stu Bangas, Sadhugold, BloodMoney Perez and August Fanon. The whole album is out now on all the usual platforms and you can stream it in full below. Continue reading “Sleep Sinatra: Sleeper Effect (Stream)”
Never one to rest on his laurels, Juga-Naut returned to the fore yesterday with the release of his latest album, Bem. It follows on from his acclaimed collaboration last year with Giallo Point, and on this latest outing we find Jugz’s pen game reaching exactly the same dizzying heights as we heard on its predecessor. The Nottingham resident has long been favoured as an MC’s MC and with Bem it is easy to hear why, as the ease with which he delivers the most intricate bars is almost criminal. And his talents don’t stop there, as the majority of Bem is self-produced, with a couple of exceptions courtesy of the Beat Punisher himself, Stu Bangas. The more soulful side to the album is backed up with some nicely placed features, including Liam Bailey and Tyler Daley, as well as guest spots from Tommy Nova, Taja, Oliver Rees, and fellow VVV rapper, Vandal Savage. You can hear the album for yourself below and there are plenty of physical bundles available via Bandcamp. Plus it was Jugz’s birthday yesterday, so go and celebrate by buying some of his art. The run of success continues for Sleep Sinatra, as he brings a momentous year to a close with his latest album. Animal God is the next in a long line of strong projects this year, including CLASSYSINATRA and The Unlearning, further highlighting the Lincoln MC as an artist who is not to be ignored. This latest album features beats from a tight selection of producers, including August Fanon, Stu Bangas, Don Carrera and Kluse. You can stream Animal God in full below and downloads are available via Bandcamp.
New video from Hus Kingpin, as he selects another jewel from his recent Slime Wave album. Sunkist features some typically heavy, drum driven production from Stu Bangas and the video was made by DirtyDiggs.
Crate Divizion affiliate, Phyba, comes back with a new collaboration alongside the ever-capable Stu Bangas. Magnolia weighs in at 12 tracks, with features from SonnyJim, CRIMEAPPLE, Daniel Son and Blacastan. You can stream the album below and downloads/physicals are available from Bandcamp.
