Last week saw the release of the latest album from Black Josh. Yung Sweg Lawd is arguably his strongest work to date, with the Manchester MC exploring a wide range of production styles, while managing to sound at home on all of them. The production is handled by a host of talent, including fellow LEVELZ members Biome and Metrodome, as well as the likes of Jack Danz, Reklews, dylantheinfamous, Sly Moon and Pitch 92. There are also a bunch of strong features, including Milkavelli, Truthos Mufasa, Lee Scott, ELIZA and Sniff. The album is available to stream below and you can also watch the latest video from the project for the Skepta produced banger, Ciggaweed. Downloads are available via Blah. With the wave of their recent comeback video still riding high and with the imminent arrival of their Part Deux: Brick Pelican Posse Crew Gang Syndicate album, Cult of the Damned have announced a UK tour. The crew will be passing through six cities in total, over three consecutive weekends in April and May. Here is the second part of my Lee Scott interview. I was beginning to think it was cursed due to how many problems it’s given me. But here it is, finally. To give you a bit of background, we had been planning to do an interview for a while, but timing had never been right. Then Lee messaged me one Friday night while I was on the way to my girl’s house. He said he’d been up since 5am and so it would be a good time to chat shit. So I rang him and we spoke for an hour about all the stuff you see below and in the first part (which you can find here). Loads of stuff about the early Blah days, meeting Milk for the first time and what projects he has lined up for the future. Read the rest of this entry »

Bisk is back with a bang as he prepares to take us all on a trip to Gutter City. The Swamp Harbour general has been steadily releasing solid project after solid project, laying waste to the idea that quality and quantity are mutually exclusive. Read the rest of this entry »

Rare treat from the Blah camp, as the elusive Sly Moon gifts us a new single. Produced by Sly and Salar, Cold Sagging Every Day is a prime example of why the MC has built up a cult following since the Brick Pelican days. More music on the way? Who knows. Just enjoy this for now.

The latest leak from Cracker Jon & 2Late’s album found the light of day this week, in the form of The Funk Off. As the name suggests, 2Late drops a funky beat for Cracker & a host of equally pitched MCs, along with Dubbul O, to murder. Nice use of Malice in Wonderland in the visuals too. The album, You Can Take the Cracker Out of Croydon, is out tomorrow and my review will be up within next couple of days.
