Cult of The Damned: OFFIE

Almost full gang in the latest video from Blah Records, as Children of the Damned release their first new music in two years. OFFIE is the first of two new tracks, which are also getting a limited 7″ vinyl release. The track features, in order, Lee Scott, Milkavelli, Barebase, Bill Shakes, King Grubb, Sly Moon and Salar, on top of some murky production from Wholesome Fun and Lee. It’s a great track, made all the more better thanks to a full verse from Barebase, which is pretty much a guaranteed improvement in any area of life. The video was made by Siim Parisoo and Lee. More info about the vinyl is available over at the Blah site.

Black Josh: Ciggaweed + Album Stream

Last week saw the release of the latest album from Black Josh. Yung Sweg Lawd is arguably his strongest work to date, with the Manchester MC exploring a wide range of production styles, while managing to sound at home on all of them. The production is handled by a host of talent, including fellow LEVELZ members Biome and Metrodome, as well as the likes of Jack Danz, Reklews, dylantheinfamous, Sly Moon and Pitch 92. There are also a bunch of strong features, including Milkavelli, Truthos Mufasa, Lee Scott, ELIZA and Sniff. The album is available to stream below and you can also watch the latest video from the project for the Skepta produced banger, Ciggaweed. Downloads are available via Blah. Lee Scott: Interview Pt. 2

Here is the second part of my Lee Scott interview. I was beginning to think it was cursed due to how many problems it’s given me. But here it is, finally. To give you a bit of background, we had been planning to do an interview for a while, but timing had never been right. Then Lee messaged me one Friday night while I was on the way to my girl’s house. He said he’d been up since 5am and so it would be a good time to chat shit. So I rang him and we spoke for an hour about all the stuff you see below and in the first part (which you can find here). Loads of stuff about the early Blah days, meeting Milk for the first time and what projects he has lined up for the future. Continue reading “Lee Scott: Interview Pt. 2”

Bisk: Gutter City

Bisk is back with a bang as he prepares to take us all on a trip to Gutter City. The Swamp Harbour general has been steadily releasing solid project after solid project, laying waste to the idea that quality and quantity are mutually exclusive. Continue reading “Bisk: Gutter City”

Cracker Jon & 2Late ft. Sly Moon, Dubbul O, Smellington Piff & Eric The Red: The Funk Off

The latest leak from Cracker Jon & 2Late’s album found the light of day this week, in the form of The Funk Off. As the name suggests, 2Late drops a funky beat for Cracker & a host of equally pitched MCs, along with Dubbul O, to murder. Nice use of Malice in Wonderland in the visuals too. The album, You Can Take the Cracker Out of Croydon, is out tomorrow and my review will be up within next couple of days.
