Another great track from Mi Vida Local, as Atmosphere deliver a simple yet effective video for Delicate. If you’re not aware, Atmosphere are hitting London as part of their European tour, so you can catch them at The Electric Ballroom on 23 April. Also check out my in-depth interview with Slug over at Grown Up Rap if you haven’t done so already.
Another day, another visual gem from the most recent Atmosphere album. Graffiti sees the Minneapolis duo teaming up once again with director, Jason Goldwatch, who once again provides another sublime backdrop for Ant’s triumphant production. The album, Mi Vida Local, is out now on Rhymesayers.
Atmosphere continue to build the hype for their forthcoming album, Mi Vida Local, which is due for release tomorrow. The video for Jerome was made by Evidence and Stephen Vanasco. Mi Vida Local is available to pre-order now via Rhymesayers.
This new song from Atmosphere surfaced a couple of weeks ago, amid rumours of a new album beckoning as well. Make It All Better Again is classic Atmosphere, with Slug recounting tales of woe fused with more than a glimmer of hope. You can stream/download the track from all the usual spots. Expect to hear more news on the album coming very soon.
New track from Phoenixville producer, Vanderslice, as he drafts in Slug and Evidence for North American Money. The track, which recently premiered on Ambrosia For Heads, is the second single to be lifted from his upcoming The Best Album Money Can Buy LP, which is due for release on 10 July. Alongside these two Rhymesayers, the album will feature Ghostface Killah, Freddie Gibbs and the last verse that Prodigy ever recorded. You can stream North American Money below. Evidence has released the next video from his extremely well received Weather or Not album and it’s by far the most visually arresting one yet. It’s for the Alchemist produced, Powder Cocaine and features fellow Rhymesayers legend, Slug.
And for anyone thinking this is some sort of ode to cocaine, Evidence recently said he was about the only person in LA who’s never tried the drug and that he chose the name as a metaphor for something finely textured. Weather or Not is out now on the usual platforms and in the interest of self-promotion, you can read my recent interview with the man himself over on Grown Up Rap.
This is an old interview me and a friend did back in 2008. I thought it had been lost forever, as the site we did it for is no longer around. Then I stumbled across an archived copy online yesterday, so thought I would share it. It was the first face to face interview I had ever done and I was nervous as fuck. It took place at the The Social in London in 2008, at a listening party for Atmosphere’s forthcoming album at the time, When Life Gives You Lemons. Continue reading “Atmosphere: Archive Interview”
Brand new video from Slug and Ant, as they continue to reap the plaudits from their latest album. Fishing Blues is available now from all the usual spots.
Atmosphere just released their Fishing Blues album, as well as a new video for The Shit We’ve Been Through. The video features super slow motion footage of someone being tattooed, which makes for an interesting sight. Atmosphere have just started a nationwide tour of the US, so watch out for them hitting your city soon. Fishing Blues is available now on Rhymesayers.
Atmosphere are due to release their Fishing Blues LP in 10 days and this weekend they gave us the next taste of what’s to come. Check out the audio for No Biggie and then head over to Rhymesayers to cop your pre-order.
