Brand new video from Lee Scott and Jam Baxter, as they kick of the official release of their album, Happy Hour At The Super Fun Time Party Dome Megamix 4000. When Lee first sent me the LP a few months ago, he did so with the warning that it was weird. I like weird, was my reply. And while it might not be your run of the mill rap album, it definitely remains on the right side of weird, complete with drunk style crooning from Lee. It features production from loads of great names, including Sumgii, Drae Da Skimask, GhostTown, Dirty Dike and Jack Jetson, plus there are guest spots from the likes of Jetson, Stinkin Slumrok, Milkavelli, Trellion and Lyza Jane. The whole thing can be heard below and you can see the video for the Dike produced, Who’s Ur M8, above. It was made by Slim Parisoo. Vinyl copies of the album are available over at the Blah store. Black Josh ft. Nah Eeto: Judge Judy
A new video from Black Josh just landed, as he continues to build the hype for his upcoming Yung Sweg Lawd album. Judge Judy features one of Blah’s leading ladies, Nah Eeto, with some typically on-point production from Jack Danz. The video was made by Slim Parisoo.
King Grubb: Bad Samaritan
Blah Records OG, King Grubb is set to release his first solo album next week, after putting in years of work with Children of the Damned and various other affiliated projects. Droopy is entirely produced by Nobodies Home with a couple of features from Lee Scott and Sniff, leaving Grubb to take a much deserved place on centre stage. Bad Samaritan is the lead single from the album and sets the tone well for what’s to follow. The video was made by Siim Parisoo. Pre-orders for Droopy are available now via Blah.
Black Josh: What I Need
Another new joint from Black Josh, the next to be taken from his forthcoming YungSwegLawd album. What I Need is produced by Ell Boy and the video was shot by Slim Parisoo (aka DEW8). YungSwegLawd is due out shortly on Blah Records; more on that to follow.
Salar: Demigod Complex
Like so many of his 90’s rap predecessors, Salar is one of those talented cats who despite appearing on a whole load of different releases over the years and amassing something of a cult-like status in the process, has yet to put out a solo release. That is until now.
I know from speaking with the Blah MC in the past, that he has been steadily working on perfecting his solo album and now we seem to be nearing the fateful date, as today saw the release of a new solo video. Continue reading “Salar: Demigod Complex”
