A poignant look at the history of the Windrush generation from the mind of Si Phili. If you’re outside the UK, the Windrush generation were some of the first Caribbean migrants to settle in England after WWII. They were named after HMT Empire Windrush, the vessel which brought them to these shores. More recently they have been caught up in a hellish and unfair fight with the UK government regarding their citizenship status. This track was produced by Richy Spitz.

The Emperor’s New Garms is the third album we’ve heard from him and it was always apparent he was a ferocious MC, but that ferocity has been taken up to 11 on this new LP.
