Habitus ft. Datkid, Sadomas, Bil Next: K-Rhyme

More bilingual, intercontinental raps from Habitus, as the Bristol-based MC and producer teases us with another track from his forthcoming album. On K-Rhyme, Habitus has drafted in Split Prophets members, Datkid and Bil Next, as well as Greek rhyme master, Sadomas. The video is made by Sektion Red.

Joe Publik: Head Nod Hip Hop / Military Minded

Double-header from Joe Publik, as I play catch up with the Isle of Wight MC’s recent releases. First up is Head Nod Hip Hop, which dropped a couple of weeks ago and sees Joe teaming up with two of the Verbal Highz gang, Chillman and G00SE, to great effect. And yesterday we were treated to Joe’s latest video, which has some more excellent features, in the form of Split Prophets OG, Res One and Out Da Ville legend, Scorzayzee. The video for Military Minded was made by Double or Nothing. Both tracks are self-produced and the cuts were supplied by Willz of Steel. They are taken from Joe’s debut solo LP, Stubborn Vectis.

Habitus ft. Chillman & Bella Soul: Chasing Careers

New video from easily one of the hardest working people on the UK scene, as Habitus continues to deliver the gems from his forthcoming album. On Chasing Careers, the bilingual, Bristol-based MC is joined by friend and regular collaborator, Chillman, as well as fellow Bristol artist, Bella Soul. The video was made by Sektion Red. More news on the album soon.

Vard: Open Eye

Vard has a new album on the way, following on from the successes of his previous releases, including ATOD and World War 3, which he released alongside Wish Master and Baileys Brown. Open Eye is the first taster of the new project and sees the Sheffield MC joining forces with Hozay, who handles production on the track. The video was made by Sektion Red. Dreams is due for release on 7 June, with pre-orders available now.

Marteena x Holly Flo Lightly x Vina x Ms Maiko: Let’s Have Funk

Let’s Have Funk is the next track to be lifted from Sektion Red’s expertly curated Europe-wide project, The Red Album. It’s a fitting release for International Women’s Day as it unites four female artists from across the continent, as they trade verses over a nice beat from Bristol-based Spanish producer, Habitus.
