Sleep Sinatra: Sleeper Effect (Stream)

Another essential project from Sleep Sinatra, as he introduces us to the Sleeper Effect. This time round the Nebraska MC has brought in an array of production talent to assist with the proceedings and the result is a richly diverse listen, complemented by both Sinatra’s own brand of lyricism and by the guest rappers on the bill. Those guests are notable in their own right, with Defcee, Ty Farris, BubRock and Teller Bank$, all bringing their accomplished penmanship to the album. And production wise, you’ve got contributions from the likes of Stu Bangas, Sadhugold, BloodMoney Perez and August Fanon. Fly Anakin x Big Kahuna OG: Another Big Fly 420 (Stream)

Let’s keep the spirit of today alive with yet another 420 related release, this time from the Mutant Academy camp. Fly Anakin and Big Kahuna OG return with their umpteenth release in recent times, Another Big Fly 420, which features five brand new tracks from the Richmond team. Production comes from some familiar names, with sadhugold, Foisey, Yotaro, Graymatter and Anakin himself, all throwing themselves into the mix. Ohbliv & Sadhugold: Ra(w) Material (Stream)

Strong collaboration here, as Mutant Academy’s Ohbliv and Nature Sounds affiliate, Sadhugold, unite to form Czardust. With The Ra(w) Material, they have created an album that is the perfect platform for their respective talents. Sleep Sinatra: XERXES Flow (Stream)

Another project that slipped under the radar thanks to my drunken Christmas haze, is the latest from Sleep Sinatra. XERXES Flow rounded off a solid year for the Nebraska MC, following on from two EPs and his [D] A R K A N G E L LP. Once again on XERXES we’re reminded why Sinatra is such a competent MC and once again he manages to find the ideal batch of beats to bring the EP to life, thanks to production credits from the likes of August Fanon and SADHUGOLD. Big Kahuna OG: Weapon OX (Stream)

Another solid release from the Mutant Academy as Big Kahuna OG returns with a new solo project. Weapon OX features a lot of the usual suspects alongside the main man himself, including a couple of features from Fly Anakin and production from the likes of Sadhugold, Graymatter and Ohbliv. Your Old Droog ft. Conway: Cement 4’s

Your Old Droog dropped of this new track yesterday, kicking off 2018 with a decent Conway collaboration. The pair trade bars over a typically strong beat from Sadhugold. Cement 4’s is available to stream below and you can cop a download over on iTunes.
