Your Old Droog continues his run of collabs with those worth their weight in rap, with his latest single, Meteor Man. The track features Droog on his usual M.O., ably assisted by Lil Ugly Mane and billy woods. It’s produced by Sadhu Gold and the artwork comes courtesy of friend of the blog, Emily Catherine. New music from the Mutant Academy roster, as Fly Anakin unveils a new video from his recent album. On Chess Pieces, Anakin reminds us exactly why he’s been praised by critics and legends alike, as he delivers a potent dose of intricate bars over some choice drum-driven production from Foisey. The track is taken from the album, at the end of the day., which emerged last month and features a refreshingly weighty list of 16 tracks. Production comes from usual spots, with contributions from the likes of Graymatter, Ohbliv, Sadhu Gold, Anakin himself and of course, Foisey. SD has managed to amass a hefty list of features for the album, including guest spots from Quelle Chris, billy woods, Vic Spencer, Koncept Jack$on, Rome Streetz and Sadhu Gold, plus a nice little handstyle from Kid Acne on the artwork. Lee Scott returns with a surprise new album, closing off another triumphant year for him and his Blah cohort. Runcorn’s mnost infamous cult leader had already blessed us with two singles from the project – Rocket Fuel and F U Save Me – the latter featuring Philly MC and producer, Sadhu Gold. Sadhu is not alone on the roster, with fellow Blah OG, King Grubb, making his presence known on two of the tracks, as well as a fine feature from Jam Baxter on Colossal Jones. Production for the most part is handled by Lee, with his Nobodies Home partners assisting him on one track and Jack Chard bringing his instrumentation skills to the mix. The ever-prolific ANKHLEJOHN returns with a new full-length release called The Yellow House, a name inspired by the infamous Washington DC food spot. Yellow House Intro is the first taste we have been given and it looks set to be another smash for SHAAP Records. Production on this track comes from Sadhu Gold and Hesh, with cats like The Historian, ewonee and Graymatter being drafted in on the rest of the album.
