Big tune here from Nutty P as he tackles the topic of racism in the UK capital, while also outlining how it was growing up as a black child and being made to feel like a foreigner in your own country. He’s joined by UK vet, Rodney P, as the pair trade verses over some superb reggae inspired production. The video was made by Chiba Visuals.

Seanie T ft. Roots Manuva, Rodney P, Blak Twang, Ragga Twins, Tony D & More: Veterans
Absolute monster of a track from Seanie T, as he gathers up fellow veterans from across the genres for this sprawling posse cut. The list of participants is impressive, with more years of service than I can count, under their collective belts. Roots Manuva, Rodney P, Blak Twang, Ragga Twins, Tony D, Ty, MC Creed, Hill Street Soul and Ricky Rankin are just a few of the 20+ artists involved, all backed up by some nice production from DJ Suro and Seanie T. Veterans is lifted from Seanie’s Rough, Rugged & Smooth album, which saw its release earlier this year.
Rodney P: The Next Chapter
New material from the Godfather of UK Hip Hop, as Rodney P treats us to the a-side from his upcoming 7″. The Next Chapter is a reflective track, with the London Posse veteran looking back over his lengthy career, as well as turning his focus to the future. Rodney also looks at how the game has evolved since he first started making music. The full release will also include the b-side, Recognise Me (I’m An African), and will be released on 11 October via Tru Thoughts.
Kingdem: KingStep
More fire from UK supergroup, Kingdem, as they continue the build up for their EP release. KingStep is the second single we’ve heard from the trio and features some superb reggae inspired production, which has always been my favourite style to hear Rodney do his thing on. The Kingdem EP is due for release on 23 August via Tru Thoughts.
KINGDEM: The Conversation (Video)
UK veterans Rodney P, Blak Twang and TY return with a video for their previously released track, The Conversation (We Ain’t Done Yet). If you weren’t already aware, the trio recently toured the UK under the group name KINGDEM and in the process they have recorded some new music together. The Conversation is produced by Nutty P and the video was made by George Malsbury and Ernest Simons. The track is taken from their forthcoming EP and is available to stream/download from the usual platforms.
Rodney P x Ty x Blak Twang: The Conversation (We Ain’t Done Yet)
Off the back of the current Kingdem tour comes this new single from the three UK legends. The Conversation is produced by Nutty P and is lifted from a Kingdem EP which is due for release in the not too distant future. Had the pleasure of catching their show last week and it was one of the best I’ve been to in a while, so definitely make the effort if you see them coming to your town.
Ocean Wisdom: Don
The tracklist for Ocean Wisdom’s new LP was released this week and it contained a couple of surprises. Alongside appearances from UK heavyweights such as Rodney P, Roots Manuva, Chester P and Jehst, the High Focus MC has also bagged features from Dizzee Rascal and Method Man. Yesterday saw the release of the next video from the album, this time for the track Don, which is produced by Pete Cannon. Pre-orders for Wizville are available now over at the High Focus store.
Rodney P: Untitled
Fresh from his excellent documentary on the BBC recently, UK vet Rodney P has released this new track called Untitled. Or it’s not called anything. It’s good either way.
Rodney P & DJ Die ft. Indigo Kid: Holes In The Building
Big fan of this new joint from UK veterans Rodney P and DJ Die, as they collaborate with Indigo Kid, to bring us Holes in the Building.
