Billy Whizz: Kobra Kai Style (Stream)

Bristol keeps the rap flag held high with another strong release from the city’s seemingly endless stash of talent, as Billy Whizz returns with his new solo EP. The DJ and producer has amassed a good circle of collaborators over the years and this is demonstrated to superb effect on Kobra Kai Style. Among the instrumental joys we find thought provoking rap joints, like the Wish Master assisted Moves I Make, and soul-drenched, horn-flecked bangers like Fire/Water, which features Bristol OG, Mylo Stone, and vocalist, Melissa Dawn. More weight is added to the EP’s appeal, thanks to two further appearances by Relly and G00SE. You can hear the full thing for yourself below, with downloads and physicals available via Bandcamp. Rogue & Relly: Let Them Know (Stream)

Strong stuff from the Bristol scene, as Rogue & Relly release their new album. Both Rogue and Relly, producer and MC respectively, have been on the circuit for years so this album was always going to be full of promise and at 14 tracks deep, I’m pleased to say it delivers on that promise. Features come from Upfront MC, who drops in on Push The Button and Terminal of Innalife Rhymes, who appears on Strangers. Let Them Know is available to stream below and you can get physicals via AFT Raps. Continue reading “Rogue & Relly: Let Them Know (Stream)”

Rogue & Relly: Beachy Winter

AFT Raps continue to go from strength to strength, as they ready another new release. Beachy Winter is the lead single from the forthcoming album from Rogue & Relly, the Bristol duo who go hard throughout. If you’re in Bristol, you’d be wise to head down to the release party on 21 September, where you’ll find a wealth of rap talent including a performance from TF veteran, Klashnekoff. The video was made by Chris Lucas.

Bristol Allstars: State of Emergency (8 Bar Madness)

As if the last track wasn’t loaded enough, the blitzkrieg continues with the new one from the Durkle Disco gang. And gang is the right word as a massive 21 MCs drop eight bars a piece over a grimy beat from Unkey.
It’s only right I give them all a mention, so this is the list in the order they appear: Sirplus, Koast, Flying Monk, Scarz, Relly, Sparkerboi, Springa, Double, J Man, Prime, B’Tol, Carasel, Blunt, Dash Villz, Ceaze, Zino, Jay 0117, Redders, Kilaze, Jinxsta JX & Slowie.
