As I mentioned last week, the infamous Ramson Badbonez is back with a new album and Bloodsplat is the next track to be lifted from it. He goes in on the horrorcore angle, which won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but his dexterity on the mic is as on point as ever. Not sure who produced the track, but it’s same sample that Dike used in Don’t Make Me by Lee Scott – one for my fellow geeks. The video was made by Luca Bowles. Jason Bonez is out now on High Focus Records.

Badbonez is back and he’s bringing with him a new album. High Focus announced the imminent arrival of Jason Bonez the other day and now we have a new video to get us all in the mood. The album draws on inspiration from Friday the 13th, so expect his lyricism to be as raw as ever. Lock Your Doors is produced by Dr Zygote and Jazz T. The album is due for release on 25 May.

In case, like me, you spent last month half asleep, you may have missed this new mixtape from Ramson Badbonez. Featuring a whole bunch of talented cats, alongside the ample skills of Badbonez himself, the project is compiled of tracks, remixes and features that the London MC has been involved with over the years. Jam Baxter, Twizzy, Rewd Adams and Micall Parknsun are just some of the voices that crop up throughout the mix, which clocks in at over an hour long and is available now for free. You can also stream it below. Read the rest of this entry »

Another neck-snapper from the recent Ramson Badbonez and DJ Fingerfood LP. Hypnodic has produced a series of gems, including Anti Convo, which features a guest spot from Abnoxshuz’s own, M.A.B. The album is available now on High Focus Records.

High Focus yesterday released the next video from the remarkable album by Ramson Badbonez and DJ Fingerfood. Find Me is another relentless headnod banger, with Badbones bringing his usual blistering wordplay to the table. The video was made by Huw Caddy. Hypnodic is available to buy now via the High Focus store.

It was already in the mid-20’s when I rolled down to this year’s High Focus Block Party in Bristol and it was only going to get hotter, given the days running up to the event. Last year’s party had been a smash and this year looked set to at least rival it, if not surpass it. Doors opened at 2pm so I got down there at about 3pm and already had to deal with the huge queue that had formed; a teeming mass of the new generation of UK hip hop fans all fully loyal to the HF brand (and all of whom I’m pretty sure I was old enough to be their dad). This is the new video for the title track from Ramson Badbonez & DJ Fingerfood’s upcoming Hypnodic album. The album marks a welcome return for Badbonez, following on from his successful 2013 album, A Year In The Life Of Oscar The Slouch. The album is due out on High Focus on 16 June, with a launch party at Birthdays in Dalston that night. You can pre-order the LP here.

Pleased to see the arrival of the first single from the upcoming Hypnodic collaboration between Ramson Badbonez and DJ Fingerfood. Verses Eye Spit sets the bar high for what is to follow, with Badbonez’s inimitable flow fitting Fingerfood’s hard drums and cuts like the proverbial glove. The full album is due out on 16 June on High Focus, with pre-orders available here.

Another great mix from Jazz T and this time it’s one of the most unique voices in UKHH who gets the special treatment. Ramson Badbonez has put out some quality releases over the years and Jazz T had picked and mixed some of our favourites into this 30 minute jam. It’s at ‘name your price’ now over on Bandcamp and you can stream it below. Read the rest of this entry »

As the months roll on, so do the Ramson Badbonez videos, as he drops the next instalment from his latest album, produced entirely by Charlie Mac.
