Pitch 92 ft. LayFullStop, Jehst & Sparkz: Kingdom

As you may have noticed if you follow me on socials, the forthcoming album from Pitch 92 has a ridiculously strong list of guest features. Not only that but the various combinations of MCs and vocalists that he’s chosen for each track are all pretty special.
The first single had MysDiggi, Verb T and Kashmere united on the same beat and for the latest video, we’ve got another killer combo. Kingdom sees UK vet, Jehst, teamed up with two Manchester favourites – Sparkz and LayFullStop. The whole thing is tied up with a nifty video from Jay Bannister.
Third Culture is set for release on 28 February on High Focus.

DRS: Serial Escapist + Album Stream

Nice cut from the recently released DRS album, From The Deep. It’s an album that somehow didn’t receive much fanfare, or at least not on my radar, despite DRS being one of the more popular names on the UK scene and the fact that the whole album is produced by Pitch 92. Serial Escapist is a good insight into the feel of the whole album, which you can hear for yourself in full below. The video was made by Tarnish Vision. Pitch 92 ft. King Kashmere, Verb T & MysDiggi: Humanoid

New album on the horizon from Pitch 92 and he’s kicking it off in style with the lead single. Humanoid features Verb T, Kashmere and MysDiggi, unbelievably marking the first time that Kash and Mys have appeared on a track together. The album, 3rd Culture, is out on High Focus on 28 February.

Black Josh: Ciggaweed + Album Stream

Last week saw the release of the latest album from Black Josh. Yung Sweg Lawd is arguably his strongest work to date, with the Manchester MC exploring a wide range of production styles, while managing to sound at home on all of them. The production is handled by a host of talent, including fellow LEVELZ members Biome and Metrodome, as well as the likes of Jack Danz, Reklews, dylantheinfamous, Sly Moon and Pitch 92. There are also a bunch of strong features, including Milkavelli, Truthos Mufasa, Lee Scott, ELIZA and Sniff. The album is available to stream below and you can also watch the latest video from the project for the Skepta produced banger, Ciggaweed. Downloads are available via Blah. Pitch 92 ft. Sparkz, [K S R] & Doctor Outer: Dawn

The next video from the recently released Pitch 92 EP is doing the rounds, featuring more Manchester talent. On Dawn, the High Focus producer is accompanied by Sparkz, [ K S R ] and Doctor Outer. The track is lifted from Lost in Space, which is out now on all formats. The video was made by Craig Capone.

Pitch 92: XPJ

Little instrumental burst to get us in the mood for the debut from High Focus’s latest signing, Pitch 92. The Manchester producer has already built up a solid following thanks to a string of strong collaborations, including the excellent Good Evening album with Verb T. XPJ is the first offering from his upcoming EP, Lost in Space, which features Jehst, Verb T and Sparkz, among others. The EP is due for release on 14 September, with pre-orders available now via High Focus. The video was made by Craig Capone.

Lee Scott X Jazz T: Ceiling / Urn Money

Jazz T is a bit of a living legend on the UK scene and also, to my mind, one of the hardest working DJs on the circuit. He has been responsible for some excellent production over his lengthy career as well, and now he is back with a couple of fresh joints, alongside Blah’s own cult leader, Lee Scott.
Now as you know I’m a big fan of Lee’s music, but while his wavier material is becoming the more prevalent sound, I’m still a sucker for a nice selection of head nod inducing beats – hence why his album with Illinformed is still up there with my favourite UK releases of the last decade. Verb T & Pitch 92: Good Evening

That Sound is the latest track to be lifted from the recent Verb T & Pitch 92 album, Good Evening. When it was announced that the two of them were making an album together, I thought back to their collaborations on the last Mouse Outfit album and knew that the likelihood was that they were going to create something brilliant. Good Evening is just that.
The Man With the Foggy Eyes is one of Verb T’s strongest releases and that was the result of him working with just one producer, so I had high hopes for his collaboration with Pitch and even they were surpassed. Continue reading “Verb T & Pitch 92: Good Evening”
