If you caught the recent Skinzmann project then you will probably already be familiar with this grimy banger, featuring one of Bristol’s finest, Datkid. And today the video for Get Out was unveiled, which only adds to its impact. The video was made by Parallel Media and the track can be found on Incognito Grinders.

More high grade boom bap from Parallax, as he releases the latest video from his Auditory Vision LP. For My People is produced by the late Profound Beats and the video was made by Parallel Media. The album is available to stream and download on all the usual platforms.

London rapper, C.A.M, returns to the fore with a new video and a new EP, following on from last year’s Persian Rugs project. Once again C.A.M delivers a weighty batch of solid boom bap, showcasing his ever-increasing competence and confidence on the mic. Just Breathe is produced in full by Bristol beat maker, BigLikeBaz, with the duo finding a highly successful partnership between their respective talents. Read the rest of this entry »

Very happy to be able to bring you the premiere of the new video from Jasi, for his latest single, FTS. The track is laid-back but important, thanks to its commentary on social issues including the menace of police brutality. FTS features fellow TAE affiliate, Bleeeks, with production from B. Young. The video was made by Parallel Media. FTS is out today on Be Ripe Records.

Bristol’s finest return with a brand new video, the first to be taken from their upcoming and much-anticipated crew EP. Bad News features raps from Upfront and Datkid, with Badhabitz on production. The Forecast EP is due for release on 15 April, with pre-orders available over on Bandcamp. The video was made by Parallel Media.

Rye Shabby carries on riding the wave of his recent release, with another video from the project. Those Eyes features Verb T, both on the mic and on the beat. The video was made by Parallel Media. The track is lifted from Die Shabby which is out now on In The Balance Records.

The inimitable Rye Shabby returned to the fore at the end of last week with a new album, Die Shabby. There will be more on that to follow, but for now immerse yourself in the latest video from the project. Turquoise is a poignant track with some mildly hallucinatory visuals to set the scene, as Shabby delivers spoken word style verses over a nice beat from label-head, Verb T. The additional vocals come courtesy of Cassie Campbell Cartwright and the video was made by Parallel Media. Die Shabby is out now on all the usual platforms on In The Balance Records.

Last week saw the arrival of the latest video from Upfront’s 2017 Lettermorphosis LP. The Split Prophets MC has another of his gang in tow, as he enlists Paro to help him bless the Chris Lucas produced track. The video was made by Parallel Media. Lettermorphosis is available to buy now.

Obadiah blessed us with his new album yesterday, as well as a new video to accompany the release. Baptism by Monsoon is a step up for the Plymouth MC, who has obviously been focusing on pushing his creativity since his last release back in June 2017.
Obadiah is one of those artists who makes an old (grumpy?) rap fan like me feel confident about the future of hip hop. The Chronicle, as with the majority of the album, is produced by DaMaven and the video was made by Parallel Media. You can stream the full album below and you can grab your downloads/physicals over on Bandcamp. Read the rest of this entry »

Bristol MC, Upfront, is hitting us with a new album shortly, the follow-up to his Upfront & Personal LP from 2014. The Split Prophet member has obviously been putting in the work in the meantime, as is demonstrated on the first single from the project, Contagious. The track is produced by fellow Bristol artist, Chris Lucas (Arun Productions), with cuts from DJ Rogue and a wicked video from Parallel Media.
