Onoe Caponoe ft. Jehst: Pinocchio

New takes on old classics are nothing new in rap, however, contemporary rap versions of 19th century Italian stories are pretty niche. But that is Onoe Caponoe all over, so it’s no real surprise that his latest single deals with his own rehash of the tale of Pinocchio, ably assisted by fellow UK favourite, Jehst. The track is accompanied by an animated video, which Onoe also devised, putting him on a creative par with Quelle Chris. Pinocchio is produced by Kehlarj and it’s out now on High Focus.

Onoe Caponoe ft. Sofie: Silent Kiss

New music from Onoe Caponoe, thanks to the arrival of the first single from his forthcoming project. Silent Kiss maintains the psychedelic flair that runs throughout Onoe’s music, combining it with some soulful, chopped and screwed style production from Kehlarj, as well as some well-matched vocals from Sofie. Silent Kiss is the first track to be lifted from Phantom of Fantasia, which I will have more news on shortly.

Onoe Caponoe: Funky Butterfly

New loosie from Ono Caponoe as he steps out of his intergalactic cat bubble for a hot minute to deliver this Funky Butterfly. The track is produced by 150Namez and the video was made by Onoe and Mikey Bharj. Funky Butterfly is out now on High Focus.

Onoe Caponoe: Ghosts In Ma Alleyway / Walking Thru Tha Forest

Twisted trap flavours in the new video from Onoe Caponoe, as he delivers a couple more gems from his recent album. Ghosts In Ma Alleyway and Walking Thru Tha Forest are both lifted from Invisible War, and feature production from DJ Murky Banger and Marceyy respectively. Another video from Onoe Caponoe, as he celebrates the release of his latest album, Invisible War. Exorcist is a song in two parts, thanks to a nice little switch up in the beat from producer, DJ $abre Watts. The track also features fellow Delix representative, Miles Dare. The run of top notch videos continues with the latest from Onoe Caponoe. For Space War 169, the High Focus MC has joined forces with experimental bass duo, Ivy Lab, as well as his friend and regular collaborator, L-Zee Roselli. The track is taken from Ivy Lab’s Space War EP and is accompanied by more visual magnificence from This & That Media.

Competition: High Focus Summer Block Party 2019

As has now become tradition, this month sees the return of the annual High Focus Summer Block Party at, Lakota, the legendary Bristol venue. The label have made big waves in the city over the last few years, thanks to a string of huge parties and this year looks set to continue in similar fashion.

The intergalactic catlord, Onoe Caponoe, returned to our planet last week with a stellar new album, Surf Or Die. As ever, experimental is the word, as the High Focus MC delivers his usual brand of subversive and left field rap.
