Da Flyy Hooligan x CRIMEAPPLE x Oh No: FLYYAPPLE

A big transatlantic bars fest here, as Da Flyy Hooligan joins forces with CRIMEAPPLE for this new single. And the collaborations’s strengths don’t end there, as the track is produced by the mighty, Oh No, with cuts from the legendary, Jazz T. It’s a pleasure to see these sorts of partnerships sparking up across the waters and I hope more follow suit. The video was made by Ringz Ov Saturn.

Oh No & Madlib ft. Elzhi & Chino XL: Superhumans

Last week social media was buzzing after confirmation that next year would finally deliver the long-awaited collaboration between Madlib and Oh No. The brothers have long been hinting at the prospect of a joint album, but until now those hints had not materialised into anything definite. But now it’s been confirmed that The Professionals will be unleashed into the world early next year and it looks like they’re going to be more than ably assisted, it this first audio leak is anything to go by. On Superhumans, the duo are joined by Detroit legend, Elzhi, and Bronx veteran, Chino XL. The full release of The Professionals is set for 17 January and pre-orders are available now via Rappcats.

Your Old Droog: Transportation (Stream)

The second Your Old Droog project in as many months emerged last week, as the New York MC and producer released Transportation. He was already being touted as a contender for your album of the year lists with It Wasn’t Even Close and by all accounts Transportation seems to be getting similar responses.

Blu x Oh No: The Lost Angels Anthem + Album Stream

Friday saw the release of the new album from Blu and Oh No, the lengthily titled A Long Red Hot Los Angeles Summer Night. Now Blu has been a favourite MC of mine for almost as long as Oh No has been a favourite producer, so this album was always going to be a winner for me. The Lost Angels Anthem is the first track on the project and also features background vocals from Kezia. You can stream the album in full below.

Madlib & Oh No: Big Whips

This is the first track to be lifted from the upcoming Gangster Music Vol. 1 compilation, which is curated by the ever-dope, Gangster Doodles. It’s a family affair as Oh No and Madlib unite for Big Whips. The Pink Panther themed video was made by Gangster Doodles and David James. Pre-orders for the project are available now.

Aesop Rock & Homeboy Sandman: Triple Fat Lice

I love it when projects get released without any real prior warning. Take the third instalment of the exquisite Lice series, which Aesop Rock and Homeboy Sandman have been treating us to for the last couple of years. Friday saw its arrival without much hype building, except for an IG post from Aesop Rock, which pictured him and Sand with the caption “What are you doing Friday? #3”.

Prince Po & Oh No “Machine Rages”

Gotta check out this intense new video from Prince Po and Oh No. The two have united to record an album, Animal Serum, which was released at the start of this week.
