Pharoahe Monch has been talking about his upcoming album for a while now, leaving fans fiending for a taste of what the lyrical god has in store for us mere mortals. Now we have that taste, as the Queens MC unleashed Palindrome on the world a few days ago. Under the collaborative moniker, TH1RT3EN, which features drummer, Daru Jones and guitarist, Marcus Machado – both highly accomplished musicians – the trio let rip with Pharoahe incorporating a number of palindromes in too his rhyme schemes, reminding all of us why he is one of the most technically gifted rappers to ever pick up a pen. The track is produced by Nottz. More news on the album coming soon.

Evidence ft. Krondon: Bad Publicity
Another stunning video from Evidence and his recent Weather or Not album. This time he clears the streets of LA for Bad Publicity, resulting in some eerily powerful shots and scenes. It also seems to give more impact to his verses, which are some of the best from the album in my opinion. Evidence is joined by Krondon, who drops in on the hook and the production comes from Nottz, with DJ Revolution on the cuts. The video was directed by Todd Angkasuwan. Weather or Not is out now on Rhymesayers.
Blu & Nottz: Heaven on Earth
Blu & Nottz recently re-released their joint EPs, Gods in the Spirit and Titans in the Flesh, in one complete remastered package. To coincide with the release, they also gifted us a new video for Heaven on Earth. The full project is out now on all the usual platforms, with features from the likes of Homeboy Sandman, Aloe Blacc, Skyzoo and Exile.
Bumpy Knuckles x Nottz: Grumpy Ol’ Man
The man with one of the hardest flows in history has a new album in the works. Last week Bumpy Knuckles unveiled the first track, featuring some suitably raucous production from fellow heavy-hitter, Nottz. No more information on the Popduke LP, but stay tuned.
Evidence: Jim Dean
Evidence is bringing us his new solo album at the start of next year and to give us a little sample of his wares, he has released another new video from the project. Jim Dean sees the LA MC collaborating with Jason Goldwatch again, who is the man responsible for the first ever Dilated video and for Ev’s first solo video too. The track was produced by Nottz. Weather or Not is due out on Rhymesayers on 26 January and pre-orders are available here.
Stik Figa ft. Elzhi: Down Payment
New music from Stik Figa, as he gives us a taste of what to expect from his upcoming Central Standard Time project. Down Payment features fellow mic killer Elzhi and is produced by Nottz. Reks: The Recipe
Brand new from Reks as he drops the next instalment from his upcoming LP, The Greatest X (read: The Greatest Unknown). This particular joint is produced by the reliably dope Nottz. More news on the album soon.
Blu & Nottz: Atlantis
One of my favourite MCs went into the lab with one of my favourite producers and the result was unsurprisingly dope. Blu and Nottz already collaborated on the often overlooked, but brilliant, Gods In The Spirit EP a few years back and now they return with the Titans In The Flesh EP.
