With their album release looming, The Mouse Outfit have been rolling out new videos all over the shop. This week they hit us with Beats All Day, which features Ellis Meade on a solo tip, assisted by some great production from Deese. Jagged Tooth Crook is out in full tomorrow.
The Mouse Outfit are on the cusp of releasing their third studio album, Jagged Tooth Crook and the next piece of the project has now been given life. It’s another collab with fast-rising start IAMDDB, as she teams up with Manchester spitter, KinKai, for Feeling High. The track was produced by Chini, Metrodome and Defty. The album is due for release on 4 May.
The Mouse Outfit are gearing up to release their new album at the start of next month, so yesterday saw the arrival of a new video to keep us in the mood. Repeat features regular faces, Dubbul O, Sparkz and Ellis Meade on top of some joint production from Chini and Metrodome. Jagged Tooth Crook is scheduled for release on 4 May.
Provocative imagery in the latest video from MCR star, IAMDDB. Oooo is the latest to be lifted from last year’s Hoodrich Vol. 3 and continues in the same trap style she switched onto after her first few releases. Personally I think it would be good to hear her mix it up a bit on the next project cos I was a big fan of tracks like Doobies and Ur Highness, but there is no denying she is onto a winning formula right now.
Tis the season for gift giving so Manchester favourites, Children of Zeus, have delivered an unexpected present for our listening pleasure. This Christmas sees Konny use the Donny Hathaway song of the same name to lay the foundation for Tyler to do what he does best. There are also additional vocals from Tyler’s daughter, Aaliyah Rae. The track is available to stream below. Continue reading “Children Of Zeus: This Christmas”
Interstellar vibes on the new collaboration between MCR’s Mothership Connection and Cutterz, as a quartet of MCs – Cheech, Dubbul O, Goshin & Legion – embark on a mission of hope and weed to planet KC-137. The track is taken from an as yet unnamed EP, which is on its way shortly on Room2 Records. In the meantime you can download KC-137 here.
I love Levelz. Everything the Manchester collective does seems to be founded on the basis that they have a shit load of fun in the process and this latest joint is no exception. Front Face was filmed during the madness of Outlook Festival and features bars from Skittles, T-Man, Truthos Mufasa, Chunky, Chimpo and Black Josh, with Biome and Metrodome on production. The track is also available as a free download, which you can grab via Bandcamp. The video was made by Tarnish Vision.
Sublime new track from Manchester artist, LayFullStop, as she brings the themes of unconventionality, misconceptions of women and spirituality to a blissed out, minimalist beat.
More good vibes from LayFullStop as she brings us a video for her Crown City song. Manchester has always been a hotbed for good music, but recently the levels (no pun) seem to be reaching even crazier heights, thanks to artists like Lay, IAMDDB and Children of Zeus, among many others. It’s an exciting time. You can also stream Crown City on all the usual platforms.
More fresh sounds from Manchester, but with a look back to the past, as Chimpo takes us on a trip down memory lane on his new track, 1996. A big jump-up beat, some dreamy vocals on the hook and Chimpo’s ever-distinctive flows, took me straight back to those halcyon jungle days. It’s so true to the original sounds from back then, you could slip into a Brockie set from One Nation and no one could tell the difference. Great video from Tarnish Vision too. 1996 is available to download now via Box N Lock.
