King Kashmere ft. Maddy: North Star

The freshest of the fresh here from King Kashmere, as he brings us his latest single. North Star sees him returning to the lab with Alecs DeLarge, as well as teaming up with one of my favourite vocalists, Maddy. Maddy: Not For Sale (Stream)

The second mention of Maddy today, as she connects with the Group BraCil family for this absorbing single. Produced by Morriarchi, Not For Sale finds Maddy sounding stronger than ever, as she rails against the flashy letches that lurk in the night. It’s good to see Maddy connecting with artists of this calibre; she’s someone I’ve been championing since I interviewed her for Brapp, back in 2017. Hopefully we get to hear more from her soon.

Baileys Brown: An EP (Stream)

Earlier this month, Bristol producer Baileys Brown treated us to the next release from his extensive catalogue. An EP takes things on a more soulful turn than his work with say DEDW8 or his rap alter-ego, Axel Holy, but if you know Brown’s work you’ll also know it’s definitely not new territory for him. And we’re not just talking in terms of the production, but also thanks to the features, which include contributions from Maddy, Marie Lister and Bukky, as well as a single rap appearance from Verb T. A new track from London-based producer, Adibanti, and Brighton-based vocalist and all-round good egg, Maddy. The pair have made a beautiful tribute to all the mothers of the world, with just enough kick and summery vibes to get you moving and paste a big smile on your face. Tasty bit of liquid DnB for your Friday, as Aperio drop their latest single, Days & Nights. The track also features GingerSlim favourite, Maddy, as she continues to spread her vocal excellence far and wide. Days & Nights is also available to stream and download in all the usual places.

DJ Vadim & Jman: Likkle More (Stream)

Staying with the reggae flavours for now, as we see the very welcome arrival of the new album from DJ Vadim and Jman (J&V). Following on from their successful collaborations on Vadim’s Dubcatcher series, they decided to dedicate their combined talents into one full-length project. Likkle More is the ideal antidote for these UK summer blues, mixing dub, reggae, rap and more into one euphonious blend that plays like a dream from beginning to end. As well as the two main players, there are also a selection of supporting features from the likes of Lasai, Daddy Freddy, Sr. Wilson and Maddy.
