I’ve been struggling to write more than a couple of paragraphs for the past few months. Various reasons, too boring or personal to go into now, but it does mean I have failed to shine a light on some decent projects that have been given life in the interim. I wanted to do a bit of a catch up to make amends for my slack attitude and also to bring some thoroughly good music to your attention. Continue reading “The Insomniac Section (Don’t Sleep)”
Bisk is on a roll right now. He just released a new album, Gutter City and now he is back with another new track, which is allegedly from another new album that is on the horizon. La Sombra features fellow Blah heads, Lee Scott and Salar, with some nice production from M9. You can stream the track below. Continue reading “Bisk ft. Lee Scott & Salar: La Sombra”
Great new video from arguably one of this country’s most accomplished lyricists. Melanin 9, the Triple Darkness affiliate and MC’s MC is back with a new album soon. It’s his first in a while, but to prove he’s as dope as ever, check the new single Polaroid. The track features Karl Sage on the hook and it was produced by Walterwarm & Cowode. I have an interview with M9 coming to the blog soon, so stay tuned for that.
Big new tune from Remulak as he joins forces with M9 and Skriblah Dan Gogh for Highlife. This follows on from the success of his last collaboration with Cappo and Lewis Parker on the Karma/Maintain release. Continue reading “Remulak ft. M9 & Skriblah Dan Gogh: Highlife”
This has been one of my favourite tracks of the year ever since I heard Magna Carta for the first time, a fews weeks ago. Continue reading “Melanin 9 ft. Roc Marciano “White Russian” Prod. by Anatomy”
SB.TV just started running a new series of videos called “Skooled By…”, which are due to feature some of the UK’s top MCs doing what they do best, namely ripping mics apart. Continue reading “SB.TV “Skooled by Melanin 9””
I’ve got a lot of time for this new EP from London MC, THEME. As a debut release, he seems to have ticked all the right boxes, in terms of guest production and verses, but without distracting from the main star of the show: THEME and his bars. Continue reading “THEME “Toys Get Smoked” EP”
This year has been non-stop for you and you now seem to be appearing on every compilation that we get sent; how does it feel to be so in demand all of a sudden?
I’m very grateful for every opportunity I get, to be a part of something as great as hip hop keeps what I do in motion. Continue reading “M9INE INTERVIEW”
