New music from the Group BraCil camp, as Morriarchi connects with Koncept Jack$on for A Toa$t. It’s a blissful burst of soul tinted production, which Jack$on glides over with ease, while KAYANA’s backing vocals make everything all the more smooth. You can hear the track and the instrumental below, with downloads available over on Bandcamp.Continue reading “Koncept Jack$on & Morriarchi ft. KAYANA: A Toa$t”
Taking things in a different direction now, thanks to the latest release from KAYANA. Regulars to the blog may already be familiar with her vocals, thanks to previous collaborations with the likes of Armand Hammer and Small Bills, but this is the first time I’ve featured her solo work. It’s a good place to start though, as she reaches maximum sensuality with assistance from production outfit, Down To Mars. You can stream typing… below, and stay tuned for more from KAYANA coming soon.Continue reading “KAYANA: typing…”
Armand Hammer & The Alchemist ft. KAYANA: Black Sunlight (Video)
Another glorious video from Armand Hammer and The Alchemist, this time for the KAYANA assisted track, Black Sunlight. The video continues the psychedelic animation vibes of Stonefruit and features, in no particular order or preference, woods as an astronaut, Alchemist as a airline pilot and ELUCID looking very happy in a monster truck. The drawings and animation were created by Shane Ingersoll. Haram is out now on Backwoodz Studioz.
Small Bills: Don’t Play It Straight (Rooftop Performance)
While music fans around the world try to fill the void that has been left by the absence of gigs, there are still a number of artists trying to give us a taste of the live experience. Last November, on a Brooklyn rooftop, Small Bill – aka ELUCID and The Lasso – did just that, with a riveting rendition of their debut album, Don’t Play It Straight. They were joined by fellow album players Kayana, Malachi Mabson and Saxsquatch, and the performance was filmed by Richard Ross. Don’t Play It Straight is out now on Mello Music.
