Bars galore emanating from Up North, as Jister returns with his latest single. Self-produced, Tomato Soup is a stripped back affair in that respect, allowing for the main focus to fall on Jister’s often tongue twisting wordplay, made even more pleasing to the ear by his Northern tones. A welcome return for Boro MC Jister as he hooks up with Naughty40 for Shoot Them Down. Don’t think Jister’s been resting on his laurels just cos you haven’t heard new music in a while. He’s been performing alongside the likes of B. Dolan and Scroobius Pip, so you know, there’s that. But this should be the start of a new run of music with 2017 looking to be a good year for the MC.
