The long awaited collaboration between BBP’s Ash The Author and Soulful Chemistry’s Krang, made a surprise appearance yesterday. The Two Man Band project features some really nice tracks; from the opening piano-laced Mic Check, to the Benny Diction assisted Main Course, the duo don’t seem to be able to put a foot wrong. There are more features from regular sparring partners, Gatecrasherz’s Gee Bag and Granville Sessions’ Archetype, making the whole EP an unskippable eight tracks of hip hop joy. There is already a video out, which you can see below and the EP is available to buy now from the Boom Bap Professionals Bandcamp page. Continue reading “Ash The Author & Krang: Two Man Band”
Tha 4orce continues his run of dope videos with a new one for That’s How It Is. Featuring Gatecrasherz member, Gee Bag, the track offers that laid-back boom bap vibe, with one foot firmly in the golden era. The video was made by Global Faction. You can download the song here.
Another day and another supergroup, as Revorg Records’ Gatecrasherz unleash their debut LP on the world. The five man crew is comprised of Downstroke, Gee Bag, Oliver Sudden, Jack Diggs and Big Toast, so we know the quality is going to be high and we have already had a couple of tasters, thanks to their lead singles, Say Rah and 2-3 Break. A great debut from a great group of established MCs, who have come together to form something of a UK supergroup. Beit Nun, Benny Diction and Deeflux have all been familiar names on the scene for years and have made some classic tracks as their own entities, but Corners may be their best work yet, as the combined power of the three creates something a little bit special. Continue reading “Corners: Corners LP”
New music from the Revorg Records camp, as Gatecrasherz release their latest video. The crew are set to release their debut album in the not too distant future and judging by the tasters they’ve given us so far, it’s going to be a strong project. More news on that coming soon.
Very impressive release from Skrabl, as he delivered his new album yesterday. The Emperor’s New Garms is the third album we’ve heard from him and it was always apparent he was a ferocious MC, but that ferocity has been taken up to 11 on this new LP. It is produced by Oozhe, who has been responsible for a lot of quality beats that have emerged over the last few years and his game is as point as ever on this project. Gee Bag is celebrating 10 years in the business and to mark the occasion he has put together this little insight into his world. As the blurb advises this is “spontaneous day and night filming, captured on the spot with no rehearsal or prompting on the subject of Hip Hop music” and it was all put together by Addoink Vision.
Another new video for an old track, as Gee Bag celebrates a decade in the game with the release of some fresh visuals for his classic joint, Still Rockin.
So this is a big track. The latest offering from the Save Yourself, Kill Them All EP, from TPS Fam’s Big Toast and London producer Sofa King. This track, Mind Wars, features a whole lot of other talent too, as the duo are joined by MCs Gee Bag and Skrabl, as well as soul vocalist Greg Blackman. Peep the video, then cop the EP over at the Revorg Bandcamp.
A supergroup of sorts here, as Downstroke, Gee Bag, Oliver Sudden, Jack Diggs and Big Toast unite to form Gatecrasherz. Anyone looking for fluffy rhymes about kittens & such, back away from the track now. Stay tuned for more from the gang coming soon, with their debut album dropping on Revorg in the summer.
