End your day the gritty way, with the latest video from Sniff and Formz, as the duo continue the run of dirty gems from their recent 100 Vices project. Westway Marina is the seventh step in their guide to neverending misery and features a suitably subdued but impactful verse from Bisk. 100 Vices is out now on Shadow Player Records.

New video from the Sniff and Formz project which surfaced recently. Questionair is billed as the second phase of the duo’s seven step plan to eternal unhappiness, which I can now confirm is highly successful. 100 Vices is out now on Shadow Player.

New release from Sniff as he teams up with the always on point, Formz, for 100 Vices. The EP is billed as a seven step plan to unhappiness, with Sniff as our narrator – the perfect trigger for that Friday feeling. As well as Sniff, there are also contributions from Stinkin Slumrok and Bisk. 100 Vices can be heard in full below, with downloads available via Shadow Player Records. Keep an ear out for more music from Sniff and Formz coming later this year. Read the rest of this entry »

Still playing catch up after the festive season, today I’ve got more new music to kick off your week with, starting with the latest EP from UK rap legend, Mongo. The Mud Fam OG has returned to the fore with a five track EP, which takes on a more emotional tone than some of his older fans may be expecting (the clue’s in the title). He didn’t come alone either, as The Feels sees Mongo drafting in some notable homegrown names to assist him. Greg Blackman makes two appearances, lending his weighty vocals to Thankful and 2GD4EM, while the EP is closed off with a little help from Sniff and CW Jones on the previously released single, Cemetery Road. The production comes from Jonny Capicola, LRD, SIM and Formz. You can stream The Feels below, with downloads available via Shadow Player Records. Read the rest of this entry »

Blah boys, Stinkin Slumrok and Sniff get dumb on their new joint which has been unearthed from last year’s stash. The video plays out like a LSD fuelled trip to the woods, while FORMZ brings a stripped down beat with a BPM similar to a blue whale’s heartbeat. The result you can see for yourself above.

Fresh music from Blah’s Canadian connect, as Danny Lover releases the first video from his latest album. Mr Cool is a classic example of Danny’s laid-back lyricism and flow, with Morriarchi’s sparse, stripped down production giving it the ideal backdrop. The album, Live From The UK, was made while Danny was visiting his label mates back in 2016. Read the rest of this entry »

Great song from Lyza Jane, as she brings her blissed out, air-like vocals to Easy. Production is handled by Formz, with a nice little guest spot from Bisk. The track is lifted from Lyza’s recent EP, Nobody But You, which features appearances from Milkavelli, Nah Eeto and Jam Baxter.

Been waiting a while to hear this gem – the debut EP from Bristol-based singer, Ngaio. Sublime neosoul vibes from an artist who is possibly best known for her work as part of Eva Lazarus’ Afronaughts. She has enlisted Baileys Brown for the production and he has brought four nice beats for her to work her magic on. The result is a quartet of laid back, but powerful songs, which make for a strong debut record. The EP is out now on KonichiWahGwarn Records and you can download it here, or stream it below. The start of April saw the release of one of the more intriguing projects of recent times. Curious Alice is an interpretation of the Lewis Carroll classic, told through the beats of some of the UK’s most innovative independent producers.

This is the latest track from those HAPPYPPL – aka Trellion and Lee Scott. This time it’s FORMZ on the beat and he smashed it. Plus bonus points for their use of Audrey Horne in the visuals.
