D£DW8 ft. Anbu: Touchin Down

Been a while since we heard new material from D£DW8, after they dropped their debut album last year, but yesterday saw that issue corrected with the release of a new track. Touchin Down features some nice verses from the duo – Dee Green and Bewbonik – as well as a guest spot from Split Prophets member, Flying Monk aka Anbu. The track is produced by M45K. Keep an ear out for more music coming from D£DW8 soon. Continue reading “D£DW8 ft. Anbu: Touchin Down”

Flying Monk ft. Axel Holy: R.O.T.F.

More freshness from Bristol as Split Prophets member Flying Monk gears up to drop his solo project. R.O.T.F. is produced by fellow Bristol don Baileys Brown, features a guest spot from Axel Holy (a familiar face, if you don’t recognise the name) and will be included on Monk’s forthcoming Twisted Circles release.

Bristol Allstars: State of Emergency (8 Bar Madness)

As if the last track wasn’t loaded enough, the blitzkrieg continues with the new one from the Durkle Disco gang. And gang is the right word as a massive 21 MCs drop eight bars a piece over a grimy beat from Unkey.
It’s only right I give them all a mention, so this is the list in the order they appear: Sirplus, Koast, Flying Monk, Scarz, Relly, Sparkerboi, Springa, Double, J Man, Prime, B’Tol, Carasel, Blunt, Dash Villz, Ceaze, Zino, Jay 0117, Redders, Kilaze, Jinxsta JX & Slowie. Split Prophets: Delta Bravo Kilo

Split Prophets have been a recognised name in UK hip hop since they burst out of Bristol with their Scribbled Thoughts EP. That was back in 2011 and after a slew of solo releases and a couple of posse cuts, this year sees the release of their first crew album, Delta Bravo Kilo. The eight strong collective have brought us 20 solid songs that prove exactly why they’ve amassed so many fans. Continue reading “Split Prophets: Delta Bravo Kilo”

Illinformed ft. Split Prophets: Platoon

Some proper gang shit here as Illinformed drops the first leak from his upcoming release, The Mould Tape. Featuring Bristol crew Split Prophets, who bring eight MCs to the party, this is UK hip hop at its best. Great video too, brought to us once again by Oliver Whitehouse (Sektion Red).

Split Prophets “Family Trees”

Next up we’ve got the latest video from the ever expanding Bristol crew, Split Prophets. Family Trees is taken from their recently released Southbound and Down EP, which is available now via Bandcamp. The beat is produced by Badhabitz and I’ve tagged the many MCs below.
