I had to write ‘everyone’ cos I literally cannot fit all the MCs names into the title. 20 rappers, eight bars a piece. Safe to say this is a monumental track from Leaf Dog, as he continues to build on the intrigue for his forthcoming album, Dyslexic Disciple. Phi Life Cypher, Smellington Piff, BVA, Cracker Jon, Jehst, Jack Jetson, Dirty Dike, Verb T, Sonnyjim, Mysdiggi, Klashnekoff, Fliptrix, Bill Shakes, Eric The Red, King Kashmere, Remus, Task Force and DJ Sammy B-Side providing the cuts. Pre-orders for the album are available here.

Tomorrow sees the arrival of arguably one of the most anticipated albums of recent times, as Strange U release their debut LP on High Focus. For the past few years Kashmere & Dr Zygote have been making brilliantly weird and unique rap, building up something of a cult following in the process. The two are no strangers to the scene, thanks to years of solo work behind the mic for Kashmere and behind the boards for Zygote, but Strange U seems to have given the pair a new lease of energy, resulting in some of the best music they have ever made. A couple of weeks ago the High Focus squad rolled into Bristol en masse, for what looked set to be a day of good vibes, good people and good BBQ. Taking over the legendary Lakota club for a seven hour rampage, the bill boasted a weighty line-up including Dabbla, Ocean Wisdom, Fliptrix and Dirty Dike.

New video from High Focus commander-in-chief Fliptrix, as he prepares to release his next album. Apparently songs about weed are still popular, but I think the tide is finally turning on a subject which, let’s face it, has been rapped to death. The new project is being produced by Illinformed, following on from the success of his work with Verb T last year on The Man With The Foggy Eyes. The new album, Patterns Of Escapism is due out later in the year. The video was made Aboveground.
