I somehow let this one slip through the gaps last month, but better late than never and it definitely hasn’t lost any of its appeal in the interim. Wish Master continues to position himself as one of the most prolific and consistent MCs of his generation, with another strong collaboration, this time alongside the equally prolific, Illinformed. Coldharbour Tales is a distinctly Bristolian album, from the title itself to the guest stars that Wish and Illinformed have enlisted for the event. Features from the likes of Axel Holy, Upfront, Datkid, Eric the Red and Flying Monk, keep the Bristol flag flying, as well as appearances from Verb T and Gee Bag, which push beyond the city walls. You can experience a taste of the album for yourself below, then head to Bandcamp for all your digital and physical needs.

Brothers of the Stone: Return to Stoney Island (Stream)
Big things from Brothers of the Stone as they return with their new album, Return to Stoney Island. It’s been three years since Leaf Dog, BVA and Illinformed released their self-titled debut album and during the hiatus the trio have been busy with various solo projects, and other crew affiliated releases. They have also found time to connect with some of rap’s finest, as Return to Stoney Island sees the Brothers being joined by Inspectah Deck, MOP and Young Zee, as well as recent rising voice, Rome Streetz. UK features come from regular sparring partners, Eric the Red and Smellington Piff. The album is available to stream below, plus there are CD and vinyl options over on the RLD store. High Focus Summer Block Party: Review
It was already in the mid-20’s when I rolled down to this year’s High Focus Block Party in Bristol and it was only going to get hotter, given the days running up to the event. Last year’s party had been a smash and this year looked set to at least rival it, if not surpass it. Doors opened at 2pm so I got down there at about 3pm and already had to deal with the huge queue that had formed; a teeming mass of the new generation of UK hip hop fans all fully loyal to the HF brand (and all of whom I’m pretty sure I was old enough to be their dad). Eric the Red: Who’s That Kid
New music from the RLD camp as Eric the Red drops off his latest single. Who’s That Kid is produced by Illinformed. Downloads are available here.
Leaf Dog ft. Everyone: The Legacy
I had to write ‘everyone’ cos I literally cannot fit all the MCs names into the title. 20 rappers, eight bars a piece. Safe to say this is a monumental track from Leaf Dog, as he continues to build on the intrigue for his forthcoming album, Dyslexic Disciple. Phi Life Cypher, Smellington Piff, BVA, Cracker Jon, Jehst, Jack Jetson, Dirty Dike, Verb T, Sonnyjim, Mysdiggi, Klashnekoff, Fliptrix, Bill Shakes, Eric The Red, King Kashmere, Remus, Task Force and DJ Sammy B-Side providing the cuts. Pre-orders for the album are available here.
Creatures of Habit: Too Stoned
Creatures of Habit dropped their debut album the other day and it’s looking to be another solid release from the RLD lot. Sean Peng, Eric the Red and Illinformed definitely have a theme to their music, as their latest video Too Stoned makes abundantly clear. The Test Subjects LP is available to buy now.
Creatures of Habit: The Vices
Check the new video from Creatures of Habit, aka Sean Peng, Eric the Red and Illinformed. The Vices is the next track to be lifted from their debut LP, Test Subject, which is due out on 11 October on RLD Records.
