Your Old Droog released a new album yesterday, continuing a run that has seen the release of seven projects since 2019. Arguably the track on Time that has people most excited is an MF DOOM collaboration with production from Edan, but the track that really caught my ear is Field Of Dreams, which features guest spots from two of my favourites – Aesop Rock and Elzhi. The production is handled by Roper Williams, who was the brains behind the Gandhi Loves Children album, alongside Fatboi Sharif. You can hear the track below, then head to Droog’s website to find all the streaming and download links for the full album.

Couple of welcome features from Fes Roc and Monica Blaire, but for the most part it’s simply Elzhi doing what he does best. You can stream it below and downloads are available via Fat Beats. The mash up master, Tom Caruana, returns with another incredible project as he continues to blend areas of music that would otherwise remain perfect strangers. Following on from his earlier ventures, including Wu Tang vs. Hendrix and Wu Tang vs. The Beatles, the Tea Sea Records founder has now delved into the instrumentals of German experimental rock band, Can, who were one of the pioneers of the Krautrock explosion that occurred in the late-60s.
