Mothership X Cutterz: KC-137

Interstellar vibes on the new collaboration between MCR’s Mothership Connection and Cutterz, as a quartet of MCs – Cheech, Dubbul O, Goshin & Legion – embark on a mission of hope and weed to planet KC-137. The track is taken from an as yet unnamed EP, which is on its way shortly on Room2 Records. In the meantime you can download KC-137 here.

Dubbul O x Mankub: Smoka-Motiv

The Manchester wave has been more powerful than ever recently, with the city churning out more and more quality material from their seemingly endless supply of top notch artists. Smoka-Motive sits happily on top of the crest of that wave, with Dubbul O cooking up four tracks of sublime hip hop alongside long-term friend and collaborator, Mankub. Bisk: Gutter City

Bisk is back with a bang as he prepares to take us all on a trip to Gutter City. The Swamp Harbour general has been steadily releasing solid project after solid project, laying waste to the idea that quality and quantity are mutually exclusive. Continue reading “Bisk: Gutter City”

Mothership Connection: Salute

Manchester collective Mothership Connection are back with a new EP and this new video to accompany it. Salute is produced by Mankub and is one of four gems on the EP, which you can stream below. The video above was made by Andy Jackson & Joe Vickers. Downloads for This Train Goes to Junkleberry Junction can be found here. Continue reading “Mothership Connection: Salute”

Cheech x Dubbul O x Reklews: GORE

Cheech, Dubbul O and Reklews have made a project together and very good it is too. Inspired by the two MCs love of all things WWE, the album is based around the Acolytes Protection Agency and features numerous references to the sports entertainment franchise that has gripped so many for so long. Gore is your first taste and a good benchmark for what is to follow. No release date as yet, but word is it won’t be too far off.

Dubbul O x Clay: Commence

Dubbul O has his fingers in a lot of pies it seems. There is his work with The Mouse Outfit, his recent release with Pro P, a forthcoming project with Cheech and Reklews, and now this new double A-Side single with fellow Room2 Records affiliate, Clay. The pair have released Mass Appeal, featuring Blind Mic and this tack, Commence. You can download both now over on Bandcamp.

Cracker Jon & 2Late ft. Sly Moon, Dubbul O, Smellington Piff & Eric The Red: The Funk Off

The latest leak from Cracker Jon & 2Late’s album found the light of day this week, in the form of The Funk Off. As the name suggests, 2Late drops a funky beat for Cracker & a host of equally pitched MCs, along with Dubbul O, to murder. Nice use of Malice in Wonderland in the visuals too. The album, You Can Take the Cracker Out of Croydon, is out tomorrow and my review will be up within next couple of days.
