DJ MK seems intent on making all of my digital dreams come true, as he releases the next instalment from his London Underground mixtape series. I still have my copy on CD, which I bought in the infamous Selectadisc in Nottingham in 2003, but it would be a lie to say I hadn’t been fiending for a digital version. The mix features another big selection of bangers, freetyles and exclusives from the likes of MCD, Mr Tibbs, Universal Soldiers, Jehst and Sincere. 24 tracks in total and it’s all yours for a few English pounds. You can hear the tape in full below, with downloads available over on Bandcamp. Continue reading “DJ MK: London Underground 2003 (Stream)”

You can stream the track below and on Bandcamp you can find digital copies of both the clean and dirty versions. Continue reading “DJ MK x Supa T x Jehst x Kyza x Harry Love: It’s All Live”

Building on the foundation laid by the likes of Task Force and Mud Family a few years before, artists like Jehst, Supa T and Klashnekoff were leading the charge on a new era of UK hip hop. In the midst of this, while the internet was still turning into the monster it is today, there were a few mixtape series that kept fans like me stocked up with freestyles, exclusives and remixes from some of the best artists at work at the time.
