Last month it was announced that Nolan The Ninja was the latest addition to the increasingly strong Mello Music Group roster and now we’ve been given a glimpse at what his debut release holds in store.
ORANGES is produced by 5YNOT and also features some lovely vocal work from Jaye Prime. The album, SPORTEE, is due for release on 19 April and will feature T3, Boog Brown and Chuck Inglish to name but a few.

Reckonize Real & Guilty Simpson: Carved From Stone (Stream)
Happy to see the full release of the latest Guilty Simpson project, as the Detroit legend joins forces with Queens-based producer, Reckonize Real. The EP manages to pack a lot of dope into its five full-length tracks, including features from Georgia Anne Muldrow, M-Dot, Mayhem, Chuuwee and Deff Cutz. Guilty is on fine form, as to be expected and he’s found a good ally in Reckonize Real’s production. Phat Kat ft. La Peace: It Don’t Get No Liver Than This
Detroit underground legend and J Dilla favourite, Phat Kat, is reissuing his 2007 Carte Blanche album. Phat Kat said that the decision to reissue was made “because it was put out right before the internet blew up, so it never really got to a lot of listeners. And it was a really good project that slipped through the cracks”.
Along with the reissue, he has also dug up a previously unreleased track for us to savour. It Don’t Get No Liver Than This is produced by Dilla and features fellow Detroit MC, La Peace.
