Fresh cut from the impossible to pigeonhole Bristol crew, D£DW8, as they ready the release of their next EP. ROB£RT RIPL£Y is as looming and ominous as you would expect from the duo, made even more so by the fear and loathing, bad trip style video from Chris Lucas. The EP, AR£ W£ GOD$ Y£T?, is set for release on 8 February, with pre-orders and merch available via Bandcamp.

D£DW8 have teamed up with Crucial Recordings’ own Sleeper for a limited edition vinyl release. The record will feature two new tracks – Dark Things and X Rated – both moody, glitchy and dark as fuck. You can buy the vinyl here and there are digital downloads available here. There is also a video for X Rated, which you can see above.

Been a while since we heard new material from D£DW8, after they dropped their debut album last year, but yesterday saw that issue corrected with the release of a new track. Touchin Down features some nice verses from the duo – Dee Green and Bewbonik – as well as a guest spot from Split Prophets member, Flying Monk aka Anbu. The track is produced by M45K. Keep an ear out for more music coming from D£DW8 soon. Read the rest of this entry »

More rugged styles from the D£DW8 lot as they drop a little exclusive. Bewbonik and Dee Green on the raps, with Ivylab on the beat.
The D£DW8 album, 21G$ is due out on Bandcamp this week and the boys are going to be doing a rare live set in Bristol on 30 September, so come to that if you’re in the area.

The debut album from D£DW8 is due out on Monday and trust me, it is worth the hype. As if we needed reminding of the potential dope we’re going to be exposed to, Baileys Brown and Bewbonik dropped a little non-album exclusive yesterday, featuring Split Prophets member and all round Bristol badman Datkid, as well as co-production credit from Konchis. Its actually on a free download too, so cop that before they change their minds.

For those of you not familiar with the name, D£dw8 is the predictably dope collaboration between Bristol artists, Baileys Brown aka Dee Green and Blanka aka Bewbonik. Those names should be all too familiar with fans of UK rap, thanks to their combined credits over the years, both on the mic and behind the boards. Read the rest of this entry »
