More bilingual, intercontinental raps from Habitus, as the Bristol-based MC and producer teases us with another track from his forthcoming album. On K-Rhyme, Habitus has drafted in Split Prophets members, Datkid and Bil Next, as well as Greek rhyme master, Sadomas. The video is made by Sektion Red.

To coincide with the release of the Breaking Bad film sequel, El Camino, Strange Neighbour is dropping a remix version of his 2014 Heisenberg EP. It looks set to be a strong selection judging by the first leak – a reworking of the Let’s Fly posse cut, from the legendary Chemo. The track features a great line-up, with Bristol sons Datkid and Sirplus, joining forces with Jack Diggs and Oliver Sudden, all backed up with some expert cuts from Sammy B-Side. The full project is due for release at the end of the month on Revorg Records.

If you caught the recent Skinzmann project then you will probably already be familiar with this grimy banger, featuring one of Bristol’s finest, Datkid. And today the video for Get Out was unveiled, which only adds to its impact. The video was made by Parallel Media and the track can be found on Incognito Grinders.

Following on from my recent post, where I threw the spotlight on the new video from Skinzmann and Wyatt Earp, you can now hear what the rest of the project is offering. Helmed and curated by Skinzmann, Incognito Grinders sees the Exeter beat maker selecting a host of talent from the UK rap pool, as he brings to life collaborations with the likes of Datkid, Shifty, Obadiah and Lukuss, as well as more features from Wyatt Earp. Another one from Joey Paro and Illinformed’s recent Victory Gin EP, as Paro enlists the help of his fellow Split Prophets brothers, Res One and Datkid on Mobin’. The video was made by the dons over at UKHH.com. Victory Gin is available now via Bandcamp.

Baileys Brown keeps us hooked with another new video from his recent Still Fresh LP. Swim sees the Bristol producer teaming up with fellow SW rap aficionados and regular collaborators, Datkid, Jinxsta JX and Hozay, all rounded off with a slick video from Don Wavey. The album is out now on Potent Funk.

New music from the Split Prophets camp, as Joey Paro releases his latest EP. For Victory Gin, Paro has teamed up with the ever-prolific Illinformed, with the pair cooking up some of those healthy head nod flavours.

Very happy to finally be able to bring you the new Baileys Brown solo LP in all its genre-defying glory. If you’re already familiar with Baileys Brown’s work, you will know he is a producer who is not afraid to venture outside the normal constraints of a genre and draw on musical influences from other areas, to create unique soundscapes which are among some of the most ambitious in the UK right now. When he found a home at Potent Funk it seemed like the ideal setting for his exploits, thanks to their already established love of ‘hybrid rap shit’ and with that in mind, Still Fresh serves as the perfect label debut.
