Babylon Dead: Voodoo

Jman and Illinformed have served up the latest single from their eagerly awaited Babylon Dead album and it’s another killer. More menacing and brooding than Leatherface on a comedown, the whole album looks set to be a valuable thorn in the side of authority. The video was made by Si Haze. El-P mentioned on Twitter a few weeks ago that there was an RTJ remix on the way, featuring a British MC. Miles Davis & Robert Glasper ft. Erykah Badu: Maiysha (So Long)

Sublime sounds here, as a new video surfaces from the excellent Robert Glasper project, Everything Is Beautiful. The album’s aim was to take on the music of Miles Davis and breathe new and contemporary life into it, with the help of artists like Bilal, Illa J, Laura Mvula and the neo-soul goddess, Erykah Badu. Ms. Badu is the main feature on the new video, as she brings her sultry vocals to a reinterpretation of the 1974 classic, Maiysha (So Long).
