IRON WIGS ft. CRIMEAPPLE: Problematic + LP News

As I’ve mentioned before, Mello Music are announcing a seemingly endless stream of new music at the moment, and the roster continues to grow thanks to the arrival of IRON WIGS. The three man crew is comprised of Sonnyjim, Vic Spencer and Verbal Kent, with Sonny handling full production duties on their forthcoming album. The first taste of that album was released this week, in the form of the CRIMEAPPLE assisted, Problematic. The brilliantly titled, Your Birthday is Cancelled, is due for release on 27 June.

More rhymes from the dirt as CRIMEAPPLE lines up his latest album. This time round he’s teamed up with Boston producer, MichaelAngelo, for the Jaguar On Palisade LP, with 56 acting as our introduction to the collaboration. Pre-orders for the limited edition CDs are available now.

Da Flyy Hooligan x CRIMEAPPLE x Oh No: FLYYAPPLE

A big transatlantic bars fest here, as Da Flyy Hooligan joins forces with CRIMEAPPLE for this new single. And the collaborations’s strengths don’t end there, as the track is produced by the mighty, Oh No, with cuts from the legendary, Jazz T. It’s a pleasure to see these sorts of partnerships sparking up across the waters and I hope more follow suit. The video was made by Ringz Ov Saturn.

Another serving of gritty realism from Muggs and CRIMEAPPLE, as they offer up their latest video – En Vivo Desde Manrique. The track is the next one to be lifted from their recent album, Medallo, which is out now on Soul Assassins.

DJ Muggs x CRIMEAPPLE: Crazy Eddie’s

Following on from the arrival of their joint album last week, DJ Muggs and CRIMEAPPLE return with a new video from the project. Muggs’ production remains menacing but sparse enough for CRIMEAPPLE to deliver his usual lyrical barrage, resulting in another jewel in the album’s crown. Medallo is out now on Soul Assassins.

Following on from superb collborations with the likes of Meyhem Lauren, Roc Marci and Mach-Hommy, the Cypress Hill veteran now joins forces with another fearsome lyricist in the form of NY MC, CRIMEAPPLE.

DJ Muggs looks set to continue his gold run of recent releases with a forthcoming collaboration. Medallo sees the Cypress Hill veteran teaming up with CRIMEAPPLE, another artist who has had an incredible series of projects in recent years. Just Because is the first video from the album and features some particularly luscious strings. Medallo is due for release next month on Soul Assassins.

CRIMEAPPLE x DJ Skizz: Wet Dirt (Stream)

Wet Dirt is the new collaboration between CRIMEAPPLE and DJ Skizz, following on from their previous meetings on Siegfried and High-Powered. The project is a great indicator of why CRIMEAPPLE has risen up the ranks over the last few years, with his confident street raps perfectly accompanied by Skizz’s production, which varies from rugged to smooth with ease. SmooVth & Giallo Point: Medellin II – Don Fabio (Stream)

Solid follow up to last year’s triumphant collaboration between New York MC, SmooVth and Crate Divizion producer, Giallo Point. Medellin II boasts all the same qualities as its predecessor, with both Giallo and SmooVth on their respective A-games. The features are in abundance too, with the likes of Estee Nack, Hus Kingpin, Roc Marci and CRIMEAPPLE assisting SmooVth with his obliteration of Giallo’s rugged production.
